The Scoop

Tim Rockwell was recently interviewed about the opening of The Wrestle Centre and WFC promoting wrestling in Tulsa. You can read the article here
Everyone was talking about the Dark Order’s segment this week. It wasn’t for very good reasons because one Creeper wasn’t hitting the mark at all. Randy Orton and Dustin Rhodes have both spoken about this. The spot has received negative reviews all around. Since the Creepers wear masks we might have never known the identity of the controversial Creeper in question. Arik Cannon has come forward claiming to be that Creeper. He explained himself by saying that Dustin Rhodes was already bleeding he didn’t want to land any punches. “You guys… It was me.@dustinrhodes is a legend, one of my all-time favorites, he was already bleeding, and I was just trying to take care of him.#AEWDynamite” Dustin Rhodes replied back saying that he has deleted the tweet where he came down on the Creeper for not knowing how to throw a punch. In the future Arik Cannon will probably be working much harder on his punches.
AEW Dynamite concluded with a segment nobody thought we would be talking about this much. The Dark Order and their creepers invaded the ring and beat down top tier guys. One of them didn’t land any punches at all. This segment was widely panned and Dustin Rhodes spoke out against it as well. Rhodes was the one who had to sell those awful punches on live television. Someone came forward claiming that it was them under that mask. It turns out that they are a fraud. Danny Cage did some digging and The Monster Factory’s Head Coach discovered that the person who claimed to be the controversial creeper wasn’t even there. “Not sure why you did this. I did some digging because I thought it was cool to step up. Come to find out that you weren’t there. Not trying to blow up your spot. I’m just hot because I began contacting people to give you props. But alas. Wasnt you. So just delete & move on.” It looks like we’re still waiting to find out who the Creeper was who didn’t know how to throw a punch.
The pro wrestling world is a fine place to be a free agent right now. Recently, Impact Wrestling let Killer Kross go months after he requested his release. Killer Kross has no non-compete clause in place. This means he can wrestle anywhere as soon as he wishes. There is a small catch. Fightful Select reports that Killer Kross is somewhat limited about what he can say at this point. “We’re told Killer Kross has an NDA associated with his release.” Since Kross has a non-disclosure agreement in place that means he won’t be able to really spill all the beans regarding the specifics of his deal. There could be a lot of things to talk about as well. This includes heat he received for apparently not cutting himself at Slammiversary.
Cody Rhodes’ attempt to trademark the name Dusty Rhodes has been rejected, according to a recent report from Pro Wrestling Sheet. According to the report, the trademark – which seemed to be ready to be approved in November – has been rejected, due to the name being too similar to Dustin Rhodes, a trademark that’s already owned by the superstar. The ruling says that any filings relating to “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer” would cause confusion. According to Cody’s lawyers, however, the team is still confident that things will work out and that they’ll be able to lock down the trademark.
WWE Network News reported that this is the match list for WWE's Top 10 Matches of 2019 special that will air on the Network starting at 3:25 p.m. Eastern time on Monday:
