Jim Cornette’s Racist Rant Resurfaces
Posted: Jun 24th 2019 By: Jake Drury
This has not been a banner month for Jim Cornette. Earlier in the month, Jim reviewed Double Or Nothing on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast. During the review he described Sonny Kiss as a transvestite and said that Sonny “must have just left a drag show at the Tropicana”, while also being upset that the commentary team didn’t explain why Sonny was the way he was.
This drew the ire of Sonny’s fiancé, who called out Jim, saying that what Cornette said was homophobic. Joey Ryan RT’d the tweet and Jim decided to wage a Twitter war against Joey.
After that incident died down for a week, it was brought up again after an MLW taping. Sami Callihan spit on Cornette as a way to stand up for Sonny. This ended up costing Callihan his job with MLW. MLW also has subtly announced that Tony Schiavone will be returning to the broadcast booth, while saying that it will only be a two man booth with Rich Bochinni and Tony Schiavone. This means that Cornette is probably out of the company as well.
Then yesterday, Jim tweeted this out.
"Note to all outlaw mud show play rasslers: I know you all want me to make you stars today, but I'm kinda busy--if you'll save your tweets til tomorrow, I'll see if I can get you some attention. I only have so much time to get your dead asses over. Thanks"
It seems that along with a lot of other people, David Starr was fed up with Cornette and shared an old video of Cornette saying the N word.
Here is the video
Jim Cornette has yet to respond, which he will most likely do on Twitter or his podcast.
