NEWS
Mickie James may have suffered an injury at the WWE event in on June 1st in Waco, TX. Her match with Carmella was stopped by the referee.

Regarding some weekend injury questions, something did happen with Mickie James Saturday at the show in Waco and she thought she may have injured her knee while in her match. But she was walking around okay after the show and she was scheduled to wrestle Sunday night in College Station. That plan changed and she was replaced by Zelina Vega.

Mickie James is out of action with a knee injury after all. She was hurt on Saturday night but we were told that she was listed to wrestle yesterday in College Station, TX. She was replaced in the match by Zelina Vega and her injury was listed in the company's new injury report.

Mickie James will be out of action for nearly a year after she revealed she tore her ACL and will be requiring surgery. James was injured during her match against Carmella last weekend and underwent an MRI on Monday which confirmed the bad news. She added that she does not know when she will be undergoing surgery yet. Typical recovery for ACL injuries is between six to nine months. The former champ has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 and is now part of the Smackdown roster after she was moved during the Superstar Shake-up.

Alexander Gustafsson was the 20th most searched term last Sunday on Google. There were three major MMA retirements last weekend, as besides Gustafsson, also retiring is Nick Hein (who did some pro wrestling training and an angle for wXw in Germany, and also once came out to "Badstreet USA" by Michael Hayes as his entrance music) and King Mo Lawal, who worked for Impact and did some indie wrestling and once turned down a WWE contract after being recruited by Gerald Brisco.

Sting has been confirmed for Starrcast III.

Mick Foley is selling T-shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees to raise money for the college fund for Alexa Massaro, the daughter of Ashley Massaro. The fundraising has topped $46,000.

Following his train wreck match against The Undertaker, former Universal champion Goldberg apologized to his fans for his performance on social media. The ending of the match was changed as the original plan was for Goldberg to try and Tombstone The Undertaker and then Taker would reverse it. Both ended up on the floor and then Taker just hit a horrible-looking chokeslam for the pinfall. “Knocked myself out and thought I could finish,” wrote Goldberg on Twitter. “Love my fans…but let u down.” He then said that he hopes that those people who found “pleasure” in his bad performance are now happy. Goldberg was busted open big time halfway through the match when he went for a spear and hit the ring post. His forehead already seemed to be pre-cut entering in the match. Things didn’t help when The Undertaker dropped him on his head when he got the Tombstone pile driver and Goldberg botched the Jackhammer attempt on Taker as well.

No word yet on injuries from today's show, but it looked like both Bill Goldberg and Undertaker were shaken up in their match. Goldberg apologized after the match saying that he knocked himself out early but thought he could finish. Continuing while knocked out led to what happened from there.

70s and 80s star Scott Casey has an autobiography called "One Last Ride" by Cowboy Scott Casey on sale at www.CowboyScottCasey.com

NCAA amateur wrestlers Michael Boykin, Cory Gilliland-Daniel, Jesse Gomez, Seville Hayes, and Derek Hillman attended a tryout at the WWE Performance Center. Former Morgan State basketball player Zech Smith was also in attendance. Gerald Brisco was there to observe the tryout.

The former DJZ, who is now going by Joaquin Wilde in NXT, explained his new name: “I had an uncle named Joaquin. He LOVED pro wrestling, always wanted to be a wrestler but those opportunities didnt exist in the Philippines. I chose this name because by living my dream, im also living his dream. And WILD(E) is the perfect word to describe the way i wrestle!”

Mick Foley’s wildest moments is the subject of the latest edition of WWE Playlist, available here.
