NWA announces National title tournament participants

Ahead of this month's 70th Anniversary Show, the NWA has announced the lineup for their tournament to crown a new National Champion.

Colt Cabana, Scorpio Sky, Mike Parrow, Jay Bradley, Sam Shaw, Ricky Starks, Willie Mack, and Sammy Guevara are the eight wrestlers who will be taking part in the one-night tournament. There will be two four-way elimination matches at the anniversary show, with the winners advancing to a one-on-one match later in the night for the NWA National Championship.

The National title being reintroduced was revealed when NWA first announced the 70th Anniversary Show. It's been vacant during the Billy Corgan era.

The anniversary event is taking place in Nashville, Tennessee on October 21 and will air live on Fite TV. Cody Rhodes defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis in a two-out-of-three falls match is set for the main event, and Jazz will also defend her NWA Women's Championship.
