Ric Flair ‘doing very well,’ fiancee calls recovery a ‘miracle’

Looks like “The Nature Boy” is strutting down the path toward recovery.

Ric Flair’s fiancée has posted an update on the wrestler’s health — saying he is “doing very well” for a man who underwent emergency surgery and was fighting for his life just two weeks ago.

“I can honestly say I have witnessed a miracle,” Wendy Barlow wrote on Facebook Monday night.

“He is doing very well for a man who has been through so much,” she said. “He will begin physical therapy shortly and will be stronger than ever and back out enjoying all the fans sooner than you would think.”

Flair, 68, had been hospitalized earlier this month with “severe abdominal pain.” The 16-time world champ was forced to undergo surgery to relieve an intestinal blockage after being placed into a medically-induced coma.

He remained in critical condition until just last week, when one of his reps told TMZ that he was “awake, communicating and progressing.”

Before the update, rumors had been swirling for days about what landed the Nature Boy in the hospital — and what kind of surgery was performed on him.

While some reports suggested that Flair had colon surgery, Barlow later denied this and revealed that he had a portion of his bowel removed.

The wrestling legend is expected to remain in the hospital for the next several weeks before making a full recovery.
