Thanks for your support every week on our award winning podcast.

Congrats to Kevin Owens on his win Monday night on RAW and becoming the 2nd Universal Champion thanks to a massive and surprising assist from HHH. So, Owens essentially cheated to win the title in a presentation that presented more questions than answers as the broadcast went off the air.

Let us remember that is is usually successful when pro wrestling villains 'cheat' to win things of significance and the Universal Title is certainly significant even though some fans choose to die on the hill of the title belt not being to their liking and the actual name 'Universal' is a negative.

Whew.

Legend has it that when young Kevin Owens aka Steen was growing up in Quebec that he learned to speak English in part from listening to me do commentary on various wrestling shows on TV. If true, I apologize to @FightOwensFight as he could have selected a better tutor than me with my Okie drawl etc.

The four way was a good match leading into the title going to KO which I perceive as good booking as it certainly hits the reset button for WWE creatively. It also sets up an organic 'turn' for Seth Rollins whose in ring style is generally more of a fan favorite one than not.

I say that's a good thing...on both fronts.

Creating new,' marriages' and rivalries gives all talents involved a chance to shine and make positive impressions. People who are already damning the Monday Night RAW creative regarding the Universal title are arguably jumping the gun as we all need to see how these new, reshuffled decks play out over time.

Curious to see where this latest development takes long time and established star in WWE, @TripleH. That development likely will lead to something significant at WM33 in Orlando.

Neville is a talent who has something special and would likely be a great addition to the Cruiserweight roster if the plans are for the smaller athletes to mean as much as they can become. I can easily see a hot, Cruiserweight division adding to RAW TV shows and live events especially if the title has clout and can build equity.

One thing is seemingly for sure and that is the Cruiserweight matches will likely to be athletically pleasing and largely universally accepted....especially if talents slow down a half a gear and add more timely selling into their repertoire.

Pleasantly surprised to see Sheamus go up 2-0 versus Cesaro in their Best of Seven Series but I'm interested in this presentation. The fan favorite (Cesaro) going down 2-0 puts the hero in jeopardy which is a nice foundation to continue to build the storyline.

Tickets for our RINGSIDE with Jim Ross Show coming to Nashville on Wednesday November 9 at Zanies are now available at zanies.com. Tickets are limited including only 100 VIP Meet/Greet/Photo Op tickets which usually go first.

Really enjoyed talking to Finn Balor Monday night for this week's podcast and found him to be positive and focused regarding his injury situation and the challenging journey that awaits him to get the Irishman back in the ring in approximately 6 months. You will enjoy hearing from Balor who is a terrific, podcast guest. Balor's shoulder injury included muscle tears, ligament damage, and perhaps even a broken bone and more. He explains all on our Podcast.

Three days left in our fundraiser for Headlock on Hunger selling the SlobberKnocker tees from www.represent.com/JimRoss. Please help if you can. Thanks.

Counting down the days until Jim Cornette and I team in Baltimore at Jimmy's Famous Seafood for a special RINGSIDE show on Friday night September 23 and tickets are available at www.missiontix.com. Great weekend on tap for wrestling fans September 23-24 in Baltimore.

Just asking but is there any thing more irrelevant in the news today than Tim Tebow's MLB aspirations or any thing Anthony Weiner?

Check out all the FREE pro wrestling content that airs weekly on the @FITETV app. The App is FREE to download and there's a ton of FREE wrestling to enjoy. Why are you procrastinating? All you need is a smart device and WiFi.

I updated the Q&A's here on the site.

Al Bernstein and I join forces again for CBS Sports Network Friday night September 9 for Knockout Night at the D in Las Vegas. The fight card looks great on paper and I hope that you will checkout Al and me on the broadcast.

My reps are talking about me doing a RINGSIDE Show in Toronto during Survivor Series weekend but it is not a done deal. If it happens, I prefer to do it Sunday afternoon near the arena as a lead in to the sold out WWE event.

Heading to Houston later this week to enjoy, hopefully, a seasoning opening Oklahoma Sooners Football victory on the road against a talented and upset minded Houston Cougar team.

Enjoy your day...

Boomer Sooner!
