Trailer Park Trash to face Texas Inc. at 8/25 SWCW event

Posted: Jul 18th 2007 By: mikeiles

The tag team division in SWCW is starting to take off with several teams vying for a shot at the SWCW Tag Team Champions, Texas Inc. Every team thinks they are deserving and other teams should wait their turn. But one SWCW tag team have longevity and the fans on their side and will be facing Texas Inc. at the August 25th show.

Trailer Park Trash have been the most popular tag team in SWCW since the company's inception and well before. When their theme song of "Comin' To Your City" plays, the crowd goes nuts and sings along with Big & Rich. They don't look like much, weighing in at roughly 130 pounds apiece (give or take). But their heart and determination more than makes up for their lack of size and stature.

At a recent press conference, SWCW Commissioner Mike Iles stated "On August 25th, Texas Inc. returns from their forced vacation that I imposed on them. Because of the length of the vacation, the championship committee and I are not requiring them to defend the Tag Team Titles on that date." That announcement seemed to please Texas Inc. and their manager Big Stevie Caballero. The next statement from Commissioner Iles did not sit well with them however. Iles continued "Due to their recent success in a match that forced the disbanding of The P.I.N.K. Nation, Trailer Park Trash will be facing Texas Inc. in a non-title match on August 25th at The Underground Arena".

Trailer Park Trash was successful in their feud with The P.I.N.K. Nation and after defeating them in a No DQ Match on June 2nd, the members of The P.I.N.K. Nation have seem to have gone their seperate ways. Despite being outweighed by nearly twice their weight, TPT pulled out all the stops even going so far as to using 2 full boxes of Cherrios in that match. Now they may be facing their toughest challenge of all.

Texas Inc., who in addition to holding the SWCW Tag Team Titles, also hold the ComPro Tag Team Titles and the NWA-U Universal Tag Team Titles, has already disposed of the up and coming tag team of Justin Lee & Tai Ji, otherwise known as Warrior Elite. In fact Warrior Elite may now longer be a part of SWCW as they haven't been seen or heard from since their defeat. Texas Inc. has also defeated TPT on two different occasions this year, February 24th and March 31st . So why now does TPT get a match? We asked Commissioner Iles that same question. He responded "TPT is really the only other established tag team in SWCW right now. The Gentlemen Thugs, while they have been impressive, have not been teaming in SWCW for very long. X-Rated just formed as a team so they need a little more experience together. Beau Dalton & Luc Lapointe are a formidable tag team, but with Lapointe winning the Sooner Xtreme Title, he will have his hands full. Corporate America only has one true wrestler on the SWCW roster right now, so they are out of the equation. I have heard the swirling rumors that Jack Dalton will be returning with a new tag team partner, but right now they are just rumors. Because of their work ethic and tag team experience, TPT deserves this match but unfortunately it won't be for the titles."

Fans don't miss the show on August 25th. In addition to this great match, SWCW Champion Rick Garrett defends the title against the #1 contender 3rd Rail and so much more! Doors open at 7:00 and bell time is 7:30.
