Oklahoma City man arrested for soliciting an undercover officer for sex

The Canadian County Sheriff?s Office arrested an Oklahoma City man Friday for soliciting an undercover officer posing as an underage girl for sex.

The Sherriff?s Internet Crimes against Children Taskforce arrested Bobby Thomas, 25 after he drove from Oklahoma City to an apartment complex at S.W. 15 and Mustang Road in Canadian County. Thomas planned to pick up the girl and take her back to his residence in Oklahoma City.

Thomas pursued meeting up with the girl through text messages, according to the police report.

Thomas was booked into the Canadian County Jail and on one count of soliciting sex with a minor with a bond set at $50,000. Thomas remains in custody.
