WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was the guest General Manager for the November 4th WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland and actually referred to NXT Champion Finn Balor as Fit Finlay in the opening segment.
Ric Flair will be the subject of an ESPN 30 For 30 special and the 16 time World Heavyweight Champion is currently in the process of filming his segments for the doc which does not have an air date yet. In his latest podcast, Flair said that ESPN cameras will be following him at "Survivor Series" to film additional footage as well as getting comments from his peers. The Nature Boy said that stuff that will be covered will include the plane crash that he was involved in, the 16 championships, his son Reid who passed away, his daughter and current WWE Divas champion Charlotte, and where he stands today. Flair mentioned that they have been trying to move on this project for over a year but WWE was very reluctant about the use of their footage. With ESPN and WWE now buddies, the project is now happening. ?The WWE is very protective of their intellectual property. It is mutually beneficial for all of us but it just took a while to get everybody on the same page,? Flair said. The 30 for 30 series highlights important people and events in the sports world and in sports history and it?s produced by ESPN Films.
In a recent video with TMZ, Goldberg said Steve Austin would be the one he wants to have one last match again. Goldberg also said Austin was pouring beers out in WWE but he, Goldberg, was really drinking them. Goldberg also says he enjoys acting and ?vomiting? more than his work in WWE. Goldberg said he had a good time in WCW but WWE was different because he was ?sick and tired? of dealing with bad situations at that point in his life. Goldberg described his WWE run as a bad time. To see the video, click here. TMZ spoke with Austin and he responded and said about 50% of the beer went in and about 50% went on him. He says Goldberg is ?full of shit? and Goldberg isn?t a drinker. Austin says he loves Bill but he left the ring with a buzz several times. You can see Austin's video by clicking here.

Former pro wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett, who co-founded TNA with son Jeff Jarrett, announced on Facebook that getting back into the pro wrestling business. It was speculated that Jarrett may be working with the new Classic Wrestling Revolution promotion in Las Vegas or possibly working with his son at Global Force Wrestling as the two are back on speaking terms. Jerry won?t be working with CWR or GFW as he?s heading up a new 13-week wrestling series that will be similar to WWE Tough Enough or the ?wrestling version? of American Idol. Jarrett?s team will be visiting different independent wrestling promotions to do a talent search and will soon be calling on indie wrestlers to submit their audition tapes. The idea is to then invite 30-50 talents in to begin the process. The competitions will likely take place at smaller indie promotions with a few special events ran from major markets such as Las Vegas, Orlando, or New York City. The finalists from the smaller markets would then compete against each other at the major market events. The idea is to then do a tour with the winners of the competition, some of the finalists and a few established wrestlers that have been with WWE or TNA, or worked in Japan in the past. Regarding the actual competitions, indie wrestlers will perform in the ring, in front of a three-judge panel. If there?s a botch or something the judges don?t like, they will have a buzzer that they can stop the match with.
Regarding the Jerry Jarrett and Shane Douglas promotion, these are actually two different promotions both looking at starting up and are not affiliated. The Douglas group, Classic Wrestling Revolution, put out a trailer video.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Don Fargo, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 85. Fargo, whose real name was Don Kalt, was part of two of the most prominent wrestling families of all time, The Daltons and The Fargos, even though he was not actually related to either family. He also competed as the brother of Ray Stevens. Fargo is known as one of the most colorful and dedicated performers from the 1950s through the 1980s, doing whatever it took to get a gimmick over. While competing as Jack Dillinger, he portrayed himself as a member of the Hell's Angels and allegedly never bathed. For most modern fans, Fargo was almost unknown, although some might remember him as a jobber in the AWA. Fargo, as Jack Dalton [1st] was a regular competitor in the 1960s, having his earliest recorded match in Oklahoma on June 18, 1962 in Tulsa, where he lost to Frankie Caine by DQ. He continued off and on, until October 2, 1965 in Tulsa, where he lost to Jerry Kozak. Fargo returned to TSW in 1981 for a handful of matches and is the last recorded TSW Brass Knucks champion. His last recorded match in Oklahoma was October 23, 1981 against Frank Hill.
