AJ Styles Talking with WWE Officials?, Rumor Update, What AJ Recently Said

Several unconfirmed rumors spread late last month about A. J. Styles possibly talking with WWE NXT or there being some kind of communication between the two sides. I reached out to a source that?s very close to New Japan Pro Wrestling and AJ, and he noted that they heard the rumors in Japan, towards the end of October as well, but word going around is that there?s nothing to them. Talents close to AJ in NJPW are under the impression that the rumors are just speculation and they believe he does not want to go to WWE.

Styles appeared on Taz?s podcast a few weeks back and indicated that he?s looking to make the best business decision for his family. He said:

?At this point in my career, I?m going to go do what?s best for my family and I want to do what?s best to provide for them. So, the business that we?re in, the business could be better somewhere else, then that?s where I?m going to go. That?s what I?m going to do. So, like I said, it?s a business plan. Wherever the plan takes me, that?s where I?ll go.?
