WWE HIAC Feedback:
Staples Center crowd seemed to pick their spots but overall the impression that I got watching live at home on my primary TV thanks to Apple TV was that the live audience was a bit flat. Nonetheless, WWE HIAC was a solid, wrestling show that featured clean finishes and excellent effort from the talents.
Best match of the night was the 'blow off' bout to the Lesnar vs. Taker trilogy. It was a brawl with plenty of physicality from both men. The rare, blood sighting was timely and added drama to the presentation without fail. The use of blood needs to remain essentially rare but when the environment calls for it such as in HIAC or the Elimination Chamber it becomes something to consider but I don't look for any more blood any time soon in WWE. Lots of basic MMA elements utilized in this main event which I enjoyed. Lesnar had to receive 9 staples in his head after the event to close his head wound we are told.
Post match with Wyatt Family attacking a defenseless Undertaker, who had no one come to his aid which I 'get' but still found strange, may lead to an elimination tag at the Survivor Series with Taker's team versus the Wyatt's. I see a 4 versus 4 traditional, Survivor Series elimination tag. Taker, Kane, Sting (if healthy) and one young talent who WWE wants to get a 'rub' vs the Wyatt's. Or two, young talents if Sting isn't abe to join the presentation,
Enjoyed the intense match between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt. I don't think it needed to be inside HIAC but it was and I enjoyed it. Great effort by both young men who had a split audience. Wyatt is going to be an excellent fan favorite some day for WWE. 'Character baby face' it's called.
Not totally surprised to see Alberto Del Rio back in WWE after leaving Lucha Underground over 'differences' which usually concerns the two, C's, cash and creative. ADR got a short, albeit decisive victory over John Cena, who's taking some well deserved time off, to win the US Title. I'd suggest that WWE continue the US Title Open Challenge with ADR who takes on the task of continuing to rehabilitate the United States Title. It was a good way to start the show. If ADR turns on Zeb Colter then the WWE will have a better chance to run with Del Rio as a main event level fan favorite of distinction. This would be a nice in ring segment on RAW.
Good win for WWE Champion Seth Rollins over Kane. A solid match and Rollins continues to evolve into a great hand. Kane is a HOFer in my eyes and not just because I hired him. I alsohad no issue as to where the match was positioned on the line up of matches as many seemed to have according to tweets I received at @JRsBBQ.
Enjoyed the women's match for the most part as they were the first match on the card that actually attacked a body part using a wrestling hold to any significant amount of time. Nikki Bella has worked hrd to improve her game and
Charlotte is the type of talent one can build a division around especially when you look at the new, fresh talent pool of females performing in WWE.
Speaking of WWE, I was sent as copy of the new, WWE Publishing effort, 25 Years of Destruction..The Undertaker and it is very well done. If you are a Taker fan or a fan of the past 25 years of the wrestling biz, check this book out. It's available via Amazon at our site at podcastone.com.

Hearing wonderful things about WWE 2K16 which is available tomorrow (Tuesday.) It was a blast to get back together with Jerry Lawler to renew our work from the Attitude Era especially all the Steve Austin matches including some from WCW and of course the red hot run that he had in WWE.
We are working on getting JR's products into tall he Ingles Markets which are 200+ stores in the southeastern part of the USA. Great, family owned markets who will carry our two, BBQ Sauces, Chipotle Ketchup and Main Event Jalapeno Honey Mustard.
Our Ross Report with Lance Russell and Dan Murphy of PWI has received amazing feedback and is trending to becoming one of our most listened to shows. Check it out if you haven't and if you have, thanks!
Have a great day and thanks for paying us a visit.
