JR's Blog: New, Ross Report Podcast, RAW Thoughts, Rollins, Reigns, Brock. Taker, Charlotte, Order JR's online for the Holidays, Dallas House of Blues, James Storm

New Ross Report tonight at 9 ET with former WWE Divas Jackie Gayda Haas and Alicia Webb aka Ryan Shamrock both talking about their WWE careers and how it was for females during the Attitude
Era in the WWE. Download our show for FREE at podcastone.com, iTunes, and here on the homepage of our site. This is a fun show with a unique perspective being provide from two, intelligent women.

www.wweshop.com and www.americansoda.co.uk are stocked with JR's and prepared to ship immediately to your home or office. Keep us in mind for your holiday shopping needs especially stocking stuffers.

RAW Chicago Thoughts:

Watched the show via DVR as usual as I do Ross Report work on Monday evenings. The DVR makes watching RAW easier for me as the three hour investment in time each week can be daunting for any of us.

Thought Cena and Ziggler stole the show but unfortunately the show sealer came early. Great opportunity for wWE to advance Ziggler to the US Title with Cena preparing to leave wWE for a short sabbatical.

No idea why Ziggler isn't used more prominently. He's a helluva talent.

The booking of WWE Champion Seth Rollins to rarely win on TV and to be an enhanced chickensh!t heel is a head scratcher. I thoroughly understand the concept of the vulnerable antagonist but for one's champion to rarely win on TV is questionable. The booking of Rollins needs addressing IMO.

Calculated risk to book Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman as both men are 'green' and it's hard to feature one and protect the other at the same time. These two could have had a more meaningful match down the road when their 'greenness' isn't as pronounced and the match could have been promoted. Nonetheless it's obvious that WWE cupboards aren't empty but I need to feel that someone has the rocket ship tied to them and are getting on a roll. 50/50 booking won't allow that to be accomplished.

Seemed as if WWE anointed Charlotte as their top female when she won the title but since then she's not been featured. What am I missing here? I do like the way that the females have more people talking positively about them than in quite some time.

Anyone else feel that the Lesnar-Taker rubber match has lost it's buzz or luster? Hopefully these two can do something in Dallas this Monday to get fans buzzing about HIAC on Sunday Oct 25 in LA. Speaking of LA, you can score JR's products in Southern California at The Wrestling Guy Store.

Chicago has special memories to me including that's where we were when it was announced in 2007 that I'd be going into the WWE Hall of Fame. That's a life time memory. It was also the site of the amazing display of athleticism when ESPN's Jonathan Coachman and I had our still talked about Country Whipping Match. O.K., so maybe it wasn't that good. But the WM13 match featuring Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin was certainly a hit in Chicago. Helluva story was told. Nonetheless a great city and you can score JR's products in Chicago at the Squared Circle Restaurant.

Working on our autobiography this week and we are in the territory stage of my career. Many good memories and quite the learning experience for me. The territory experience that I had established my foundation for which I built a 40 year career upon. The erosion of the wrestling territories has been a huge issue as it relates to the growth of pro wrestling and the startling lack of main event, 'over' talents in the business today. The Territories won't return as in having a weekly schedule of towns, producing a local only, quality TV show. WWE is smart to be aligning itself with various indy groups to help them continue to find skilled talent to bring into NXT.

I'd encourage James Storm to join WWE if the opportunity is there and not ever have to look back some day and say "What if?' It's smart of wWE to retain the services of a guy like storm and even a Bobby Rood to see if they can find their way onto the main roster and to help the younger talents to improve their in ring game. 'Green' can't improve with working primarily with other 'green' talent. Guys like Storm and Rood, among others, can help build a better overall WWE brand by being there to work with the rookies. This process will take away some of the sting of not having wrestling Territories.

Bravo to ROH for improving the lighting of their TV shows. The TV show's perception was automatically upgraded.

Hopeful that ticket info for my Wrestlemania Texas weekend shows at the House of Blues in Dallas will be announced this week. Multiple shows on multiple days but hopefully strategically placed so that fans can fit us into their schedules. The shows will be called RINGSIDE with Jim Ross and Friends.

Thanks to so many well swishes to my wife Jan and me for our 22nd anniversary which we celebrated on Monday October 12. 22 years of marriage in pro wrestling has to be the equivalent of 50 years in 'civilian life.' My wife has been the biggest blessing of my life and she deserves a ton of credit for the success that we had in the WWE talent relations department as she was a great communicator and an even better listener to the talents and their spouses. I'm not sure I'd even be around today if not for my Steelers loving bride.
