Corino on Ross Report..Fabulous, RAW Feedback..Heyman/Lesnar..Kane, Rollins, Houston Wrestling project, NXT Live!, @DallasHOB, Taz Show, Order JR's Online

Posted: Oct 8th 2015 By: Jim Ross

Excited about our new, Ross Report podcast featuring ROH Wrestling's @KINGCorino that's available now for FREE at podcastone.com and iTunes plus the homepage of our website here. Some great memories of the late, Dusty Rhodes from Steve plus his amazing career in Japan and how he sees ROH growing and fitting into the overall pro wrestling landscape. Plus, he's an entertaining dude. Give it a listen and you will enjoy the show. Thanks for supporting our efforts as our podcast continues to grow weekly thanks to many of you.

RAW FEEDBACK:

Watched the show on DVR as usual which I find to be more enjoyable with my schedule than watching it live plus I don't have to sit through the multitude of repetitive commercials.

Enjoyed the six man tag but fundamentally it is so challenging to get multiple talents over in a match with other talents that are basically in the same boat. Reigns, Ambrose, Wyatt, Strowman, abn Harper are all evolving and developing and matching them primarily against each other is not going to forward all involved. It's a Catch 22 in many ways.

I'm enjoying the Kane creative because I remember where Glen was 18 years ago when he debuted in St. Louis as Kane. I'd love to see the Brothers of Destruction reunite in 2016 for some tag matches against, for example, heel Dudley's. Nice nostalgia, solid wrestling and it extends the shelf life of all involved. Of all teh guys that I hired back in the day Kane has to be one of the great overachievers and him developing his personality will help him in all phases of his life. A class act who can't get enough attention in my biased eyes.

Funny how some people confuse Seth Rollins role of a chickens!t heel to being 'booked weak.' It's obvious to me that Rollins is following a HBK path to some degree meaning that he will be a helluva fan favorite in time. Let's not rush it.

Thought Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman were somewhat underutilized Monday night in a subdued, or so it seemed, Boston. Why can't a disrespectful heel wanting to make a name for himself interrupting a Heyman promo and then Lesnar then takes matters into his own hands and woodsheds some poor bastard to provide the fans some hint of physicality? The Taker vs. Brock HIAC match is tepid at best since their Summer Slam match which had a unique finish that isn't talked about enough IMO.

I'm somewhat confused as to where WWE is headed with Rusev and until I get a clearer picture of that direction I'm sort of disconnected from the talent who I feel is a classic heel and has a definitive upside. Rusev doesn't need to be a comedian for the sake of 'entertainment.'

Big fan of the New Day trio and hope that they can become the heels WWE seemingly desires but it won't be easy but it's also not impossible. It's going to take work and being smart especially on how the talents themselves execute in the ring.

Just when the WWE women were beginning to evolve it seemed like Monday night was a throwaway night for them in many respects. Who is being pushed, for example, Paige or Nattie? 50/50-like booking helps no one. Paige had the strong promo but seems to have lost her 'buzz.'

It looks as if the Dallas House of Blues will be our headquarters during Wrestlemania Texas weekend as we are in the process of planning several events and I will have ticket info soon. @DallasHOB is one of my favorite Dallas spots and has been for a long time plus it is just a short, easy walk to the American Airlines Center where the WWE HOF and RAW will be held. Stay tuned for some exciting news.

Excited to hit Dallas this weekend for the 110th meeting of the Oklahoma Sooners and the UT Steers in the historic Cotton Bowl. Kick off is 11 am CT and keep an eye out for the black hat on the Sooner sideline.

Going to watch the NXT special on the WWE Network tonight live. The Sasha Banks-Bailey Ironman match has sold me and that's an example of excellent long term planning because I've been anticipated this main event for seemingly several weeks. Smart booking. Might do some Tweeting during the show as well from @JRsBBQ.

Working on a possible project involving the Paul Boesch Houston Wrestling library. I'm in if the arrangements can be made of which talks are ongoing now and are out of my hands. The list of talents and matches are extraordinary and cover decades with all preserved perfectly.

Check out the Okada vs Strong match tonight on ROH Wrestling on Destination America. Two of my favorite talents working today.

I'll be back on the Taz Show Friday morning to talk a little football and what ever else Taz throws at me. www.TazShow.com.

www.wweshop.com and www.americansoda.co.uk have JR's in stock and ready for immediate home or office delivery. It's not too early to start thinking about those Holiday gifts and stocking stuffer ideas.

BTW our Main Event Mustard, Jalapeno honey mustard, has ony 1 gram of sugar for those like me that have to watch their sugar intake.

www.jrsvideos.com is our new, You Tube channel and is FREE to all. Subscribe today!

TNA being forced to put multiple hours of TV in the can had to have Matt Hardy relinquish his newly won TNA World Title after getting the duke on Sunday night at Bound For Glory. I reviewed BFG oin my last blog BTW. Not an idea situation for this battling organization who continues to fight to stay around. More focused and logical booking would help this brand a great deal. TNA needs to announce a new TV deal sooner than later which would make their talents feel much more at ease. TNA's problems creatively are easily fixable but gaining a new, viable TV home isn't.

I'd love to see NXT sign James Storm and Bobby Rood if NXT is going to become a totally separate brand. Plus, does a Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar WM32 match interest anyone? Kurt could go out with a bang, a WWE HOF induction and by passing the torch to Lesnar in Kurt's last match.

The Q&A's here are updated as of Wednesday morning. Send us your questions.

Count your blessings and never take tomorrow for granted.

Boomer Sooner!
