Pierce Never Short Of Talent To Wreck Dreams Of Fans
Posted: Sep 5th 2015 By: CMBurnham
There are many words to describe ComPro manager Richard Pierce: Obnoxious. Loudmouth. Bad fashion sense.
But one word that can not be used is unsuccessful.
Pierce as established himself as the managerial mastermind for the past couple of years in ComPro, guiding Jake O'Brien to the ComPro Title on two occasions. But he also has taken other wards under his wing including The Canadian Red Devil and Richie Adams. Adams eventually grew tired of the association, seeing better opportunities for himself with Pierce and his influence, but that did not stop Pierce from keeping his eye out for talent.
And that talent was unveiled recently at the annual Oklahoma Stampede Battle Royal when Pierce accompanied both Steven Cruze and Aaron Stokes to the ring in their respective entrances. While neither man was successful (and ultimately, neither was The Canadian Red Devil, who was the last man ousted so that Adams could win the event and earn another title opportunity at O'Brien), Pierce vocally expressed is pleasure at their performance and it was obvious he felt that a good investment had been made.
Two weeks ago, Pierce showed just how intimidating his new charges were when he debuted them together as The Wrecking Crew and sent them into action against Giganto and D. J. Abrams. With all four competitors being essentially rookies, the experience factor would normally have been a wash, but with Pierce at ringside for one team, a serious advantage was provided. Stokes and Cruze worked very well together, showing power and brutality and overcoming the aerial tactics of Abrams and the unorthodox offence of Giganto. And with the distraction factor of Pierce, Cruze was able to introduce a chair into the affair, throwing it to Stokes who connected it to the chin of Abrams allowing the Wrecking Crew to be victorious in this event.
Later that night, Pierce was once again at ringside leading CRD against Richie Adams. Pierce made it clear that he wanted Adams injured and unable to capitalise on the one last opportunity he had against O'Brien for the ComPro Title at the 9th Anniversary event on September 12th. Adams and CRD had a long and evenly paced match, including both men executing superplexes on each other. But in the end, Adams nailed the Implant DDT and came out the winner. e would not get the opportunity to enjoy that win as Pierce quickly motioned for The Wrecking Crew to hit the ring. The Crew certainly lived up to their name as they bean to wreck the body of Adams, beating him within an inch of his life with a chair. And Pierce stood by the entire time, smiling and happy as he made sure that Adams and the ComPro fans understood that Adams would never become ComPro Champion.
The level of injury to Adams is still unknown but no matter how badly he is suffering, there is no delaying the match. Adams has one last chance to become ComPro Champion. And Pierce along with his charges, are certain to do everything they can to make sure that does not happen.
