The National Wrestling Alliance is pleased to announce it will induct former wrestler and promoter, Leroy Mcguirk into the NWA Hall of Fame. The enshrinement ceremony will take place Friday, August 21st, at NWA Texoma in Sherman, Texas. On July 17th, 2015 NWA Texoma announced live at their event that Leroy Mcguirk will be the next inductee into the NWA Hall of Fame and will be accepted by his Daughter, Ring Announcer Mike Mcguirk and his Grandson (Mike?s son) Max Mcguirk. Leroy Mcguirk will be the 4th Inductee into the NWA Hall of Fame Class of 2015.

Leroy Mcguirk started his career as a professional wrestler and started his NWA Career when he beat John Swenski in June of 1939 to win the National Wrestling Associations version of the 190lb championship. In Dec of 1949, Leroy defeated Billy Goelz to unify the National Wrestling Association and National Wrestling Alliance?s 190lb championships to become the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Leroy Mcguirk ended his wrestling career after an automobile accident and started to book and promote wrestling shows. Leroy was a multiple time Vice President of the National Wrestling Alliance. In the 1950?s Leroy was the primary booker for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion and primarily promoted in the Oklahoma/Arkansas area.
