The Female IS More Deadly Than The Male

The Female IS More Deadly Than The Male

Posted: Jul 30th 2015 By: Michael Hunt

She was told to step up and make an impact. And she did exactly that. Now, Killista is the only woman in the state of Oklahoma to hold what is traditionally considered a championship for men. Some would say that makes her the Alpha Female, but at least one other woman would dispute that.

Two months ago, then-ComPro Oklahoma X Division Champion Paul Puertorico came to the ring announcing he was taking the night off because he had no competition and that commissioner C. M. Burnham could have him defend his title against the entire locker room because it would not matter. Burnham told Puertorico that was a great idea and that on June 13th, that would be exactly what Puertorico would do: Defend his title in a Battle Royal against the entire locker room. Puertorico immediately regretted opening his mouth, but could not do anything about the match.

On the day of the show, a Submission match featuring 3 of the 4 most dominant women in ComPro was on the card as Taylor K took on Skylar Slice in a Submission Match with Misty Lynn as the special referee. This left Killista out of competition and she was not happy about that situation, so she came to the ring and voiced her concerns to commissioner Burnham. Burnham told her quite frankly that if she wanted to see competition in ComPro, she needed to do something to make a statement. Instead of waiting for the action to come to her, she needed to find a way to make action happen for herself.

And Killista took those words to her heart. As the Battle Royal made its way down to the final people, it looked like it would be either Paul Puertorico retaining or The Canadian Red Devil winning the only title in ComPro that he had never held. And after a battle on the ring apron, Puertorico, from inside the ring, knocked CRD off. But he had failed to notice that Killista had entered the ring behind him and immediately after CRD went to the floor, Killista clotheslined Puertorico over the top to win the match! She then became the only woman in recorded Oklahoma history to hold a title traditionally thought of as a male championship.

Killista immediately went on a tear as the new champion, defending her title two weeks later against Misty Lynn and sending Lynn to the hospital with a concussion that has put her on the shelf for the forseeable future. Two weeks after that, Killista teamed up with Skylar Slice to take on Nikki Knight & Taylor K. Though considerably smaller than Killista and Slice, K & Knight used their youthful determination to their advantage as much as they could. And when it came to the end of the match, Nikki scored the pin on Killista, but did so in the corner of Killista and Slice while Slice simply looked on. Slice could easily have reached down and broken up the pin. It was almost as if she wanted to see Killista lose.

This past Saturday, Killista was advertised as having her contractually obligated rematch against Paul Puertorico, but Puertorico refused to show up. Killista explained that it must be embarrassing to lose to a girl (something the ComPro crowd has been very vocal about, both at the arena and online), but it is even more embarrassing to sit at home and cry about it. Skylar Slice then entered the ring and demanded a shot at the title, saying that ever since she got there, she had been the most dominant. She also said it was basically down to the two of them since Misty was out with a concussion and Taylor K had suffered one (at the hands of Slice) in Texas.

Sensing that this was about to turn into a high-school hallway catfight, Commissioner Burnham came out to gingerly intercede. e agreed that Slice deserved a title opportunity and knew that if he asked Killista to, she would defend the title right there and then. But he felt this was a match more worthy of celebration. So he told the crowd that the match would happen on September 12th at the 9-year anniversary show for COMPOUND. Burnham then requested that both ladies return to the locker room so that the main event could get underway.

But Slice and Killista were not done with each other and shoving quickly turned into slapping which turned into choking. Referees were called to try and separate the two brawling women, but they were thrown to the round as well. The locker room then emptied and male wrestlers struggled to hold back these two mighty female titans who wanted nothing more than to get their hands on each other.

With both ladies backed into the corners, Burnham made it very clear that this activity needed to stop immediately. He turned to Slice and said that if she did not back down, her title opportunity would be taken away. He then demanded that both ladies separately leave the ring and begin preparations to officially meet on September 12th.

With this level of competition for one belt, it seems likely that Northeast Oklahoma may soon become a hotbed for female wrestlers like it was back in the OPW days of Heather Savage, Jenna Love and Summer Rain. And while we may be cooling down soon in terms of weather as summer turns to fall, the heat of the action from the ladies will keep the fans turnin out to see ComPro every time.
