6-11 WWE RAW
Mick Foley came to the ring. He said normally he isn't interested in the words of Johnathon Coachman, but he sparked up when he heard about the Championship Challenge main event at Vengeance PPV. Assuming he's still a part of the RAW roster by the end of the night, he would be in that match. Foley then went on to talk about Vince McMahon. He said that McMahon had affected the lives of everyone. He had so much power to do good, but did he follow through? Somewhat. He certainly gives to charity. He's a super patriot. He has money and power, but he's an arrogant egomaniac who enjoys manipulating people for his own gain. He enjoys making people kiss his ass. Does Vince have any real friends? Foley then asked the crowd if any of them were his friends. The crowd said "NO!" Foley listed people who were asked to participate in the "Vince McMahon Appreciation Night" and declined: Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Eric Bischoff, The Rock, Dick Ebersole, Shawn Michaels, Trish Stratus & Ted Turner. All of them refused because they felt it wasn't worth their time. They didn't appreciate Vince. Foley asked the crowd if they appreciated Vince. The crowd said "No!" Foley said he couldn't have said it any better and left.
The Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young came out and barked like dogs on all fours, per an idea by Ashley Massaro.
Roddy Piper came to the ring. He asked the crowd who was a better choice to appreciate Vince. A video of Vince's most humiliating moments was shown. Piper said that, on behalf of the WWE audience, they appreciate him for what he really is.
Ric Flair was drafted to the Smackdown brand.
Dusty Rhodes came out. He said one of Vince's favourite sayings s "Perception is reality". Rhodes had a dream. Vince had a vision.. His vision was to build an empire, no matter who he stepped on and pushed aside or how many families he put out of work. He asked the crowd to be the judge of Vince's legacy. They don't have to love him, like him or agree with his psychology of the industry, but all must respect him.
Jim Duggan, Charlie Haas and Gerald Brisco were all seen backstage amongst the WWE superstars that Vince McMahon passed by before entering his limosuine, which then blew up.
6-14 TNA iMPACT
Jim Cornette was backstage rounding up the King of the Mountain combatants, telling them that there would be a meeting in his office in 10 minutes. Chrsitian Cage held up a board showing he had narrowed his "mystery opponent" down to Shark Boy. Cornette said that there were more important things for him to worry about right now.
Scott & Rick Steiner, Basham & Damaja (w/ Christy Hemme) def. the Voodoo Kin Mafia & TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3-D.
Jim Cornette had A. J. Styles, Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe in his office. He told security to leave and said that if Angle or Joe pulled something, he would fine them until they couldn't pay attention. Angle and Joe said they wanted to cripple each other. A. J. piped up and said he'd cripple someone. Cornette told them all to shut up. He said Angle and Joe had been holding the show hostage with their issues. He told A. J. that he was a flipping idiot. Instead of being the phenomenal athlete he could be, he's content to be Christian Cage's sock puppet. Since they're all at each other's throats, Cornette wanted to up the ante. He's interested in ratings, so he put together a challenge: Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe & A. J. Styles vs. Sting, Tomko & Rhino. If any man on Sting's team defeates anyone on Angle's team, they take the place of whoever they defeated in the King of the Mountain match. Everyone protested that they earned their spot. Cornette said he didn't care about anything but ratings. He also hoped that they didn't go out there and work like a well-oiled machine because it's better for ratings if they didn't get along. Cornette exited and all 3 combatants started arguing.
Jeremy Boras was backstage interviewing Chris Harris and Hector Guerrero. Harris said LAX had been taking shots at TNA for too long. He said if they wanted a war, he'd bring one. He also said that if you're going to war, you should have "The War Machine" Rhino with you. Guerrero cut a promo in Spanish directed at Konnan and told him to come to Slamiversary PPV.
Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe & A. J. Styles def. Sting & Rhino in a Handicap Match. Tomko was supposed to be the 3rd member of Sting's team, but he was shown laid out backstage. Towards the end of the match, Christopher Daniels came down, acting like he wanted to be the 3rd member. Sting tagged Daniels, but, as the referee looked on, Daniels gave Sting a spinning neckbreaker and Angle and Joe pinned Sting (who was still the legal man since Daniels wasn't technically part of the match.)
A. J. Styles brought a steel chair to the ring and gave it to Christian Cage to use in his King of the Mountian Match against Abyss. Abyss punched the chair, knocking Cage loopy. A. J. then entered the ring, but was picked up and pressed overhead, then thrown outside the ring on top of Tomko. Abyss used the chair on Cage, getting DQ'd, then went on a rampage, taking out the referee, various members of TNA security and TNA management, including Pat Kenney and Terry Taylor. Abyss then emptied a bag of glass in the ring and prepared to chokeslam Cage on it, but Tomko & A. J. reentered and beat down Abyss. Cage got a barbed wire baseball bat from outside and prepared to hit Abyss with it, but Abyss kicked Cage in the face, then cleared the ring and stood dominant with the baseball bat as the show closed.
6-15 WWE Smackdown
Ric Flair encountered Batista on his way to the ring to face WWE United States Champion Montell Vontavious Porter. They were happy to see each other and Flair gave Batista a pep talk before sending him on his way.
Sgt. Slaughter was interviewed about the "death" of Vince McMahon. He said it's a sad moment. There was an old saying: Generals start wars, but seargents finish them. Vince was no ordinary general. He came into battle and never retreated. The WWE needs to thank Vince McMahon. Slaughter wasn't sure where Vince was right now. Heaven couldn't handle him and hell didn't want him. Slaughter then promised to keep fighting for him. He saluted Vince and said he'd miss him.
Ric Flair def. WWE Smackdown World Champion Edge by DQ when Montell Vontavious Porter interfered. Porter & Edge double teamed Flair until Batista came out. Edge speared Batista, then left the ring, holding his title high as the show ended.
