RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Shw tickets are selling well and our shows are rapidly approaching especially in Baltimore at @RamsHeadLive on Saturday May 16 which is the day before WWE Payback in Baltimore on PPV. Tickets for our show, our first ever in Baltimore, are on sale starting at $22.50 at ramsheadlive.com and will be available at the venue the day of the event as long as they last. Tickets are also on sale now at ticketmaster.com for our return to New York City on Saturday night August 22, the night before WWE Summer Slam, at the Gramercy Theater with tickets starting at only $25. VIP Meet/Greet/Photo Op tickets are available for both shows in limited quantity so don't delay if you want the best experience in the house. These will be our only two dates this year in both Baltimore and in NYC.

The Ross Report this week will feature a review of WWE Extreme Rules with Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com plus we will talk about Billy Corgan going to TNA in an executive capacity, the future of Lucha Underground, ROH and New Japan plus many other topic that will interest you. Mike has many 'connections' and will be sharing some unique insight with us on the new podcast that will drop as usual on Tuesday night at 9 ET on podcastone.com, iTunes and here on the home page of our site.

Next week on the Ross Report I will have a provocative conversation with @SamoaJoe who some feel is headed to WWE sooner than later. It would take me about 10 minutes to sign Joe if I were still in my old, talent relations role in WWE.

We are discussing the possibility of having a RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show in Washington, D.C. in August and are working on the details to see if we can firm up a date sooner than later. I'll have more info on that on Twitter @JRsBBQ when the info is available.

Extreme Rules thoughts:

I had no technical issues watching on my big screen TV via the WWE Network and felt that the event out performed my expectations. Granted, I wasn't expecting a great show following an outstanding WrestleMania but the event from Chicago was better than I assumed it would be.

Roman Reigns is on track to become what WWE wants him to be. I believe in this athlete and feel that he simply needs time and not to be force fed the audience and he will end up being the star that WWE wants/needs. Reigns match with Big Show was a pleasant surprise and arguably the best match on the show.

Loved the tag team title match and have no issues with New Day becoming tag champions as long as they work diligently in learning how be a great villain trio ala the Freebirds but that might be asking too much. Now the best team in WWE in years, Kidd and Cesaro, can chase which is a good thing and can add more relevancy to the tag titles which have been somewhat cold in recent months.

Really nice match with Neville getting a good win over Wade Barrett as the two Brits had nice chemistry. Neville continues to remind me of Tommy Billington ka Dynamite Kid who, at one time, was as good as anyone in the biz.

I'm not a fan of escaping the cage as a way of winning a cage match but that's not the talent's issue. Orton and Rollins worked hard but it was too predictable that multiple outside parties were going to get involved in the conclusion of the match. Some fans and apparently many in the decision making business of the overall wrestling biz feel that a loss is damning for a talent a takes them down too many notches. Obviously, I don't share totally in that philosophy.

Sheamus is on track to become a hit as a villain if he continues to perfect the nuances necessary to do so. He's a big, bully of a man who seems to enjoy his bad guy positioning. His match with Ziggler provided me with a surprising outcome. Thought the ass kissing phase went a little long but in the end, no pun intended, Ziggler got a win and has an issue while Sheamus left with heat. Good for both.

All in all it's getting more challenging by the year for WWE to have an "Extreme" card in a PG world based on what the audience is conditioned to understand what "Extreme"means within the genre.

Liked Naomi's make over but having two ladies who are both cast as villains against each other is ill advised in hindsight. It really makes it tough on the talents.
