JR's Blog: HBK Ross Report, Baltimore RINGSIDE Update, RINGSIDE to WWE Network?, 2K Sports, Happy 50th to CAC, London RAW Thoughts

Posted: Apr 15th 2015 By: Jim Ross

Greetings to all and thanks for stopping by our site. Less than 30 VIP Meet & Greet/Photo Op tickets for our RINGSIDE with Jim Ross Show in Baltimore at Rams Head Live on Saturday night May 16 remain at ramsheadlive.com. Get yours while they last. General admission tickets are also available online and will be on sale at the venue the day of our show. We hope that you can join us for our first show ever in Baltimore, a city that holds many fond memories for yours truly.

My conversation with the great, Hall of Famer @ShawnMichaels drops tonight at 9 ET on the Ross Report Podcast on iTunes and podcastone.com. The New York Times Best Selling Author talks about his new book, his career and has some great insight on today's wrestling product from arguably the best in ring performer of all time. Subscribe for FREE at iTunes and you'll never miss one of our podcasts.

Next week my conversation with TNA's Bobby Roode drops on Tuesday evening at 9 ET while the following week I will be joined by PWInsider Mike Johnson and we will review WWE Extreme Rules PPV.

Our line up of guests for the next several weeks will guarantee to entertain you as our roster of guests is diverse and all bring something unique to the party. We will be updating the homepage of this site with our guests through June ASAP.

This is a big week for @CACReunion in Las Vegas as this is their 50th Anniversary of this wonderful organization who helps many 'wrestling families' in need throughout the year. I think that every fan and certainly every wrestler in the business should be a member of ths organization plus all those in the wrestling media. Check them out at caulifloweralleyclub.org.

We are in talks with WWE to tape a version of our RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross show for airing on the WWE Network at some point in the future. Details are still being discussed but this could happen much sooner than later. If all the details get finalized we would likely tape the show in Orlando at the NXT Arena. Fingers crossed for this project which I hope will lead to more opportunities to contribute to @WWENetwork.

RAW/London thoughts via watching the show on DVR:

Watching on DVR and skipping the commercials seems to work best for me as I think I've got ADD...seriously, not having to watch 15 commercial breaks helps the viewing experience. I thought he show was solid.

Thought some of the insider oriented crowd chants were distracting and unnecessary. I wonder if it's truly the fan's expressing their feelings or simply trying to gain attention on TV? Or perhaps a little of both?

Roman Reigns seems to be on a more acceptable pace to become accepted by the fans who have demonstrated that they are not fans of a systematic and structured game plan to establish new, fan favorites. I like Reigns and have every confidence in him becoming a top level main eventer in WWE for years to come. The process simply takes time and careful planning and execution.

Pleased to see that both the IC and US titles are gaining in equity. It's always been the man who makes the title and both John Cena and Daniel Bryan are looked upon as legit stars which in turn provides the respective titles a needed 'rub.'

Seems as if now is a perfect time for some young, energized, crafty villain to make their move in WWE as that side of the roster appears ready for an infusion of new blood.

No @HeymanHustle on these recent shows is noticeable but understandable considering is client BROCK LESNAR'S suspension.

Curious to see what the skinny is on Tough Enough returning to TV. Anxious to see the cast including the coaches. TE is a solid concept but the cast of characters that interact each week make or break the show. That's the reality TV business in a nutshell.

Interesting TV between Kane and Rollins. Seemed to provide a creative spark for the veteran Kane.

I never knew that Roddy Piper was a cousin of the Stu Hart family. BTW...Roddy has an interesting conversation with Rowdy Ronda Rousey on his podcast at podcastone.com. Listen...it's FREE. And yes, I still want to see Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon at WM32 in Texas.

WWE Champion Seth Rollins had a really good night in London and is improving in his role every week or so it seems to me. Smart creative to have such a talented albeit beatable WWE Champion who is surrounded by 'protection.' J&J Security are underrated, entertaining and add a great deal to Rollins' presentation.

I spoke with OVWrestling.com Danny Davis last night for a future Ross Report Podcast addressing what it takes to get into the business these days as a wrestler and this from a man who has arguably helped train more WWE WrestleMania main eventers than anyone alive. The list of talents that Danny worked with in OVW is scary and we had a great talk about them BEFORE they were stars. This show will air in a few weeks. If you have aspirations of being a wrestler visit ovwrestling.com for starters.

Doing great business at WWEShop.com as the grilling season is creeping up on many. JR's family of sauces and condiments have become the go to for many of you of which our family is truly grateful. Many orders are shipped within hours of receiving them and the customer service is excellent.

In talks with 2K Sports to do some work on their next video game for WWE. Love the process and from what I'm told the new game will be extremely provocative and certainly has my attention already. Stay tuned.

Following closely the challenges that apparently TNA Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground are experiencing and remain hopeful that both companies work out their financial issues that allegedly exist. I'm a fan of both brands.

Thanks for stopping by and hit the newly updated Q&A's before you leave.

Boomer Sooner!
