Wolf Determined To Lock Down Challenge Of Mysterious Masked Foe

Wrestlers understand the challenges of their profession when they enter training. They know that they will face opponents who are bigger than they are, more technically skilled than they are or sometimes ones who function in groups so there is always a numbers advantage for them.

But when a wrestler appears seemingly out of nowhere and targets another wrestler for no apparent reason, that presents a difficult psychological challenge for any wrestler, experienced or not. And when that wrestler does not speak, it becomes even more difficult to figure out how to plan a strategy to try and overcome the challenge.

Michael Wolf returned to ComPro after suffering an injury in the Fatal 4-Way match where the ComPro and OECW Tag Team Titles were unified. In that first match, he gained a minor measure of revenge against one of the teams involved in that match: The New York Express. After pinning Thomas Knight, Wolf was showing appreciation to his fan base when a large masked man silently made his way to the ring and grabbed the head of Wolf between his meaty palms. Although the masked man said nothing, it was obvious that his intention was to squeeze the life out of Wolf and this vice-grip move rendered Wolf nearly unconscious and in need of assistance from the ring.

Two weeks later, history repeated itself as Wolf faced IZW Impact Division Champion Bobby Starr. As Starr went to put Wolf away with the Greetings From Mount Olympus, Wolf slithered down his back and rolled him up in a schoolboy for the victory. Again, as Wolf was recovering from the victory, the large masked man came to the ring and applied the vice-grip to Wolf until Wolf was almost unconscious.

The first show in February saw Wolf team with Sam Stackhouse to take on The Canadian Red Devil & Richie Adams. Despite a philosophical difference between the two, Adams and CRD were victorious in their match. This seemed like a perfect opportunity for this masked man to take advantage of a downed Wolf, but he did not appear and Wolf thought perhaps the random attacks were over.

He could not have been further from the truth.

The next time we saw the large masked man, it was not after a Michael Wolf victory. Instead, Spyder had just made his ComPro debut and had defeated Patient Zero. As Spyder was celebrating this tremendous accomplishment, the masked man appeared once again from the back and entered the ring. e grabbed the head of Spyder and prepared to lock down the vice-grip on the rookie when Wolf appeared from the back, chair in hand, and drove off the large man. Wolf took the microphone and said he was tired of being attacked from behind and tired of unanswered questions. He challenged the mysterious masked man to a match on March 21st. Face to face. He even invited the masked man into the ring that night to get a little preview of what would be facing him on that date, but ever silent, the large unknown brute silently made his way to the back, never giving any indication of what he was thinking or feeling.

Come March 21st, Wolf knows he is in for a fight. But will it be a fight he can win? No one seems to have any idea who this person is, what his combat background is or just how dangerous he truly is. That includes Michael Wolf. And it appears he will have to find out the same time that the fans do. But Wolf will certainly bring the determination of an entire pack with him when he takes on the biggest challenge of his career.
