Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday) at www.axs.com for RINGSIDE with Jim Ross shows heading to Sayreville, NJ on Friday night January 23 with an 8 pm show and to Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon at 3 pm January 25 prior to the Royal Rumble. VIP meet and greet tickets will be available and tickets for the shows start at $20. It is going to be a Slobber Knocker of a Royal Rumble weekend in Jersey and Philly and I hope that if you are in the area that you will join me. BTW, every VIP ticket holder at both shows will get a FREE bottle of JR's Original BBQ Sauce from yours truly.

Anxious to watch tonight's NXT Takeover 3, 2 hour special on the @WWENetwork. This is a living, breathing example of maximizing one's minutes. Live, prime time TV opportunities are special, especially for younger talents, and are a privilege and not a right.

Working on a story on Darren Drozdov for foxsports.com and it's tough to write because I have such a personal investment into this athlete whose paralyzing injury is still haunts many of us. Ironically, Droz's attitude is amazing of which I hope to be able to capture in my piece that is tentatively set to be posted this Tuesday.

I'm told that multiple, high level MMA camps are keenly interested in training CM Punk for his first UFC fight which has yet to be set. Like it or not, everyone should be able to chase their dreams and that's simply all Punk is doing. I don't understand the angst some fans of both wrestling and MMA with this decision. How Punk will fare is anyone's guess but if his first match is on a PPV the event will do well financially for all involved. I eventually see Punk becoming a MMA TV analyst at some point in his career.

There were many in my life that thought me, an Okie farm boy, chasing a career in pro wrestling back in the 70's was insane. They may have been right to some degree but I have zero regrets that I followed my heart and did not live my life to only please others. It's damn near impossible to make others happy if one isn't happy with themselves.

WWE presents TLC on PPV this Sunday which is a crash and burn event that was put on the map by the Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian, and those Damn Dudley's. Those three teams revolutionized the TLC concept that hasn't been topped since but it's fun watching talents try. Jeff Jarrett and I will give our take on this event next week on the Ross Report Podcast.
