Brian Blade's Blog: How is the WWE Going into SummerSlam
Posted: Aug 12th 2014 By: Brian Blade
SummerSlam is only 5 days away and the card shapes up nicely. There are some good matches and good stories going into this Sunday's PPV, but run didn't help a whole lot. You got a little out of Cena and Brock, it was the show on the network after RAW that really sold the match. If you didn't see it get on the network and watch. It is narrated by Paul Heyman and tells a very good story leading up to the match.
Ambrose and Rollins added little if nothing to their feud. I enjoy it and enjoy crazy Dean attacking Rollins at every turn, but it needs to be less predictable. They should have an excellent match.
Big win by Orton and it was good to see a little vulnerability in Reigns. Another match that should be very good.
I liked the Jericho - Wyatt segment, they put over their feud that really makes no sense. Wyatt just seems to falling down the card and this is his safety net.
I liked Hogan at the end, it was cool to see a lot of legends and the interaction with Brock. Hulk is still a huge draw and having him on the last segment on RAW once again proves it.
I liked the faction of Big E, Kofi, and Xavier Woods, but they have no where to be seen. I think this could really help out all three, but the "Powers that Be" may have stopped it already. Not smart.
Now on to the worst segment on RAW in a long time. Why ruin the Brei - Stephanie feud with a stupid angle already done by TNA. It didn't work there, why would it work here. Am I suppose to believe Bryan who just married Brie, is going to sleep with a girl that is only half as good looking? Stupid, ridiculous, and an angle ruiner. This feud had great steam and heat and with in 10 minutes they killed it. Hope the match is good.
I am into the Rusev - Swagger feud, these guys are working hard and I now have a renewed interest in Swagger
Where are the Uso's? They put on great matches and were not on.
Predictions:
AJ beats Paige in a fine Divas Match - this feud could go on for a few more months
Stephanie beats Brie controversially. This feud will continue
Rollins beat Ambrose the same way as above to continue this feud
Wyatt beats Jericho and they will have another match next PPV
Reigns pins Orton and moves on to another feud I hope
The Miz beats Ziggler, I hope not, but don't see the Miz losing here
Rusev beats Swagger - I hope not also, but Rusev is on his way up to be fed to Cena
Cena defeats Lesnar with a little luck, setting up Lesnar taking the title at the next PPV. This will be a great fight.
Overall this should be a great night, but I think it leads to a lot of rematches at the next PPV.
