Battle Of The Behemoths!

Battle Of The Behemoths!

Wrestling has always been hailed as the land of the giants. Bigger than life superstars. And that is now being proven in SRPW as they boast some of the physically biggest competitors in Oklahoma wrestling today.

Perhaps no one is larger than BPPW & SRPW Champion Warhammer. The monster viking from Valhalla is over 450 pounds and has been dominant in both federations as few wrestlers pose any kind of threat to his mass of humanity.

But even as large as he is, Warhammer is still subject to the rules of the federations he competes in. And being champion, Warhammer also finds himself with a constant target on his back. Two weeks ago, SRPW Commissioner Bobby Burns found himself once again in a verbal conflict with his son Cody Burns. Cody wanted to face is dad one-on-one in the ring once again and Bobby reminded him that the last time that happened, Bobby LET Cody win because he didnt want to hurt him. Now, Bobby is retired. He will never fight Cody again and no one wants to see that anyway. However, since Cody wanted to fight, Bobby declared that he would put Cody in a Triple Threat Elimination Match against the two biggest men in the back.

Obviously one of those men would have to be Warhammer, but his manager, Jameson Thaddeous Doggins III had something to say about that. Doggins said that two weeks prior, in his absence, Warhammer had been forced to defend his title by Bobby Burns. According to Warhammer's contract, Doggins gets to determine Warhammer's matches and he was NOT allowing Warhammer to compete on this night. When Burns protested, Doggins suggested that the match should be a #1 contenders match, but that Warhammer will not wrestle until a #1 contender was determined.

So a quick substitution was made. Obviously Cody Burns was involved, but now he faced two very different opponents. In one corner, a man who had not competed in an SRPW match in over 4 months: Kyle Everlast. Everlast made a thunderous return, knowing this was a tremendous opportunity for him to capture the one SRPW Title he had never laid claim to. In the other corner, a man who knew very well what it was like to be SRPW Champion: Sam Stackouse. He was the man that Warhammer defeated for the title and he wanted another opportunity to regain that championship for the 3rd time.

With that much humanity in the ring, the blows were heavy, the slams were earthquake-like and the ring threatened to collapse at any moment. Cody, being the smallest of the competitors, relied on his speed and technical prowess to survive in the environment. Burns was able to eventually force Everlast to submit to an ankle lock, but then faced the challenge of Sam Stackhouse. Burns was not intimidated, though, as he was able to give Stackhouse a German suplex. But after trading some close 2-counts, the frustration began to overwhelm Burns. He stomped Stackhouse into the corner, but then lost focus and shoved the referee, earning a DQ. That made Stackhouse the #1 contender, but Burns wasn't through as he grabbed a steel chair and knocked Stackhouse out, leaving him in the middle of the ring.

Doggins then stepped up and said that the match had been tremendous and, as promised, Warhammer would now agree to defend his title against the #1 contender. That match would being immediately. And Warhammer, flanked by the beautiful but mysterious Mable, came to the ring. It was a quick match and almost completely one-sided, which should have been no surprise to anyone considering what Stackhouse just went through. Warhammer caught Stackhouse on the top rope and delivered a thunderous chokeslam that almost put Stackhouse through the middle of the ring to gain the victory.

With his size, strength, power and the ringside presences of Doggins and Mable, Warhammer appears to invincible. He already holds two titles. If he were to set his sits on other federations, things could get decidedly uncomfortable for locker rooms all over Oklahoma.
