Angel Williams Knocks Impact, Inc. Out of the Park

The crowd waited in anticipation Saturday night as an 8-man tag team match was announced. 4 members of Impact, Inc: John Zorthos, Bernie Donderwitz, Gary Tool & Brad Michaels were set to take on MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions The Patriots, Angel Williams & a mystery partner. Speculation abounded all over the internet as to who the fourth member of the team was going to be. And yet another question was soon asked (and answered) when Bad Boy and Angel Williams walked through the curtain Saturday. Bad Boy announced to the crowd that, due to a death in the family, Glen Steel would not be able to participate in the show that night, so that left them in need of 2 partners. But no sooner had that announcement been made then the familiar tones of :"Running With the Devil" played and MSWA stalwart Outlaw came out. Outlaw said he would be more than happy to assist MSWA in this battle and Bad Boy & Williams gladly accepted, placing themselves back in search of just 1 more partner.
That partner was found in the somewhat unexpected form on IZW Champion Michael Barry. Barry, who has only competed once for MSWA, offered his services based on his conflict with Aaron Neil, another member of Impact, Inc. Although somewhat cautious, Bad Boy & the other MSWA members were willing to give it a chance and thus the odds were even in the main event.
Or so it seemed. The entire makeup of Impact, Inc. were seen backstage later in a video promo. Neil was exceptionallly upset about not getting another title shot against Barry, but ever the voice of reason (at least within his own faction), John Zorthos changed the situation, upping the match to a 5-on-5 Elimination Match. This still left MSWA 1 man short and with time running out, it appeared they might not be able to come up with the assistance they needed.
In a shocking (and hugely popular) announcement, after all the other wrestlers had entered the ring, Bad Boy announced the 5th member of his team as...Brandon Bishop! Bishop had posted on the IZW message board that he was not booked for this show and had no reason to travel down 10 hours from Colorado Springs, but apparently the reason was made clear to him as he emerged from the locker area and the entirety of Team MSWA attacked Impact, Inc.
After some intense action from both teams, including a suicide plancha from John Zorthos and a top-rope somersault from Bishop, both onto all the other wrestlers in the match, as well as a 10-man chain sleeper, the eliminations began. Outlaw was the first man out by way of disqualification when Brad Michaels pulled an "Eddie Guerrero", throwing Outlaw his own branding iron and falling to the mat as referee George Knight turned around. Although Knight had not seen the infraction, the "evidence" was right there and Outlaw was sent out.
Next to removed were Aaron Neil and Michael Barry , who removed each other as they battled outside the ring and were both counted out.
After some more intense action, Brandon Bishop was eliminated by John Zorthos after a float-over DDT. This allowed Zorthos to gain a little measure of revenge on Bishop for all the losses he had suffered in the past few months. And now the sides stood at 4-2 in favour of Impact, Inc.
Bad Boy quickly struck and took out Zorthos to bring the sides closer to even at 3-2. But just as soon as Bad Boy scored his pin, he was the victim of a modified sunset flip from Brad Michaels and now it was 3-on-1 against Angel Williams.
Angel knew his back was against the wall and came out fighting. His first victim: IZW commissioner Bernie Donderwitz. Then shortly after that, Brad Michaels fell to the "Widowmaker". And then it was 1-on-1. Angel Williams vs. Gary Tool. When Williams went for a charge into the corner, he caught the referee and knocked him out. Then John Zorthos returned with a steel chair and it looked like once again, MSWA would be looking at the lights as they had the Sunday before and as they had at the last IZW show. But Williams was too quick for Zorthos and took out the IZW owner. Tool tried his own chair shot, but Williams ducked that as well, giving Tool a low blow and then cracking Tool's head with a MONSTER chairshot that leveled the "Coach" and allowed Williams to score the pin and even things up for MSWA.
Tool and Zorthos lay almost unconscious in the ring as the other members of Team MSWA came out, but even amidst all the celebration, questions float to the surface. Who will MSWA turn to next time? Both Bishop & Barry indicated this partnership was a one-time thing. Might MSWA be able to rely on other IZW rregulars with MSWA histories like MSWA Mid-South Champion Ryan Davidson, IZW Impact Division Champion John O'Malley, or Michael Faith? And how will John Zorthos & the rest of Impact, Inc. respond to this loss? Williams may have hit a home run on Tool's skull, but it seems that there are still a few innigs left in this game.
