The Scoop

NEWS
Before the musical chairs Monday on RAW, Jerry Lawler said that "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line was on its way to being the most downloaded song ever. This isn't even close. It has sold a little over 6 million copies now whereas the most downloaded song ever is "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas with 15 million sold. "Cruise" wouldn't even make the top 50 most downloaded songs ever. He most likely meant to say "country" song, but even that's misleading. Most downloaded country songs right now are "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum, and then "Cruise." "Cruise" is close to surpassing "Need You Now," but will most likely not come close to Taylor Swift. While there's debate on Taylor Swift being country, the trajectory of "Love Story's" chart progress has to make it country by definition.
Regarding Ryback being in the doghouse which we talked about on last night's Wrestling Observer Radio, it appears to be a situation where he went out a week ago and did the spear and jackhammer, Goldberg's spots, and didn't get permission to do it first.
Matt Riviera of Traditional Championship Wrestling wanted it noted that he's not the Matt Rivera from New Jersey who was on the TV show "Extreme Cheapskates." Apparently a lot of people saw the similarity in names and thought he was.
TMZ ran a story on accusations that Scott Hall, Dallas Page, and Jake Roberts were in a scam regarding the money they collected. Nobody has accused them of not using the money for what they claimed, but there had been complaints people who were promised phone calls or other things haven't gotten them. Roberts said that he doesn't move so fast and they are still fulfilling the stuff and that nobody is getting ripped off.
Jake Roberts Ted DiBiase, Bushwacker Luke Williams, Mr. Olympia Jerry Stubbs, Danny Hodge and Jim Duggan have been added to the Mid South Fan Fest on April 4th in Chalmette, LA promoted by Traditional Championship Wrestling in conjunction with WrestleMania. Their participation is pending whether or not WWE wants them as a lot of talent doing other events has, because if WWE uses you they don't want you doing other events that week, that if WWE wants them they have the right to pull out.
Jake Roberts posted on Twitter "Two more announcements:(1) New Snake Radio very soon & (2) just talked with my co author. My autobiography is back in full swing. Stay tuned".
Roddy Piper posted on Twitter "Rocking Niagara Falls for charity. Featuring Ed Manion from the E-Street band with Hot Rod and @alansnoddy". He also posted a picture as well that you can see by clicking here.
