No More Games!! P.I.N.K. Nation & TPT to Settle the Score April 15
Posted: Apr 3rd 2007 By: CMBurnham
It always seems like fun until somebody gets hurt. Since their time together in AACW and continuing now into SWCW, Trailer Park Trash and members of the P.I.N.K. Nation have played a game of one-upsmanship to prove who is the superior tandem. And like the bullies they are, P.I.N.K. Nation always seemed content to pull their pranks until it was turned on them.
It was members of P.I.N.K. Nation Beau Dalton & Luc Lapointe, then working under the guidance of Tommy D and representing The Family, that ended the AACW Tag Team Title reign for K. C. & J. C. after 3 months of holding those titles. But the situation really became volatile after Beau & Luc lost the belts and Ray Martinez stepped in to reform the P.I.N.K. Nation in AACW. Despite neither team being tag team champions, they still were intent on proving their superiority and the games began, with each team costing each other matches and title opportunites, both singles and tag.
Things only got worse when TPT took in Jessi Jersey as their ringside advisor. Jessi, despite being a former SRPW Women's Champion, was often seen as the weak point in TPT and at the one and only XUW show in February, Jessi was curbstomped by Luc Lapointe to send a message to TPT.
Jessi would strike back at the first SWCW show, low-blowing Luc to gain some revenge. But the shenanigans continued. Neither team was able to become the first SWCW Tag Team Champions in the battle royal on St. Patrick's Day. Then, on March 31, things went too far for both sides.
TPT came out to answer the challenge of SWCW (and ComPro) Tag Team Champions Texas, Inc. who were putting the SWCW Tag Team Titles on the line against anyone in the back. TPT made a strong challenge for the belts, with Jessi Jersey at ringside providing encouragement. But just as it seemed the belts were about to change hands, Luc Lapointe & Ray Martinez ran down the entrance ramp to distract the referee, allowing Bernard Funk & Timothy J. Rockwell to spike piledrive one of the twins and gain the win, much to the delight of their manager Big Stevie Caballero. As Jessi assisted her men to the back, it appeared that once again, the bully tactics of P.I.N.K. Nation would gain them the upper hand.
But after intermission, P.I.N.K. Nation would get not 1 but 2 surprises. Martinez & Lapointe were supposed to compete in a tag team match, but Ray came out and told ring announcer Jesse Storm that he had suffered a severe groin pull and would be unable to wrestle, which lead Luc to declare that the match should be called off and they should leave early. Storm would have none of that and, in the absence of SWCW commissioner Mike Iles, reminded them that he was acting commissioner and he had a surprise for them in the form of the debuting Big Daddy Moore. Moore, a Tulsa area mainstay, was no stranger to either Luc or Ray and neither were terribly happy about him being a surprise opponent. Moore took complete advantage of his surprise to pull out all his typical moves (illegal as most of them are), but a missed charge to the corner put Luc on the offensive. As things began to look bad for the Bristow native, TPT & Jessi Jersey came out to ringside to distract Luc, allowing Big Daddy to surprise him with a rollup and win his SWCW debut. TPT then invaded the ring and took the pink hockey jersey off the back of Luc before J. C. grabbed the microphone and said that he was tired of all the games. He then challenged P.I.N.K. Nation to a No DQ match on April 15 to settle their score. Luc accepted on behalf of the rest of the Nation, promising that TPT had no idea what they had gotten themselves into.
Lapointe may have a valid issue here, as the No DQ clause, on the surface, certainly seems to work in the favour of P.I.N.K. Nation. The Nation already is willing to break the rules when needed, but in an environment where there are essentially no rules, Martinez & company should be completely at home. Add to that the numbers advantage, as Beau & Luc could easily be joined by Jack Dalton, Bobby Dalton and/or Paul Linam in this decisive battle. And a minor amount of honour amongst theives was shown a couple of shows back when the Nation and Texas, Inc. temporarily joined forces TPT certainly seemed confident, so perhaps they have some surprise alliances as well. The question on everyone's mind, though, is: Will it be enough?
