NEWS
One name being rumored for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame is "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. Williams, a legitimate tough guy, was at one point during his WWE career considered for a run as champion until he was knocked out by Bart Gunn in the infamous "Brawl For All" series, which mixed amateur wrestling and boxing in "shoot" style matches. Williams passed away on December 30, 2009 at the age of 49 after a long battle with throat cancer.

All of Jim Ross' speaking tour of the United Kingdom has sold out except for the one in Manchester, England.

Lanny Poffo will talk about his brother Randy Savage?s chances of being inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in an interview with Filsinger Games that will be posted this week. Poffo also talks about Jimmy Hart, Curt Hennig, and Bobby Heenan in addition to reciting no less than seven poems on a variety of topics. Also featured on the podcast is an interview with Champions of the Galaxy artist Darryl Banks. ?The View from Filsinger HQ? will be posted at 8pm EST on Wednesday, August 14th. WWE is going all out for the "SummerSlam Axxess", announcing the biggest WWE Superstars and Divas for the general admission and VIP autograph sessions. The Saturday morning autograph general admission session will have The Miz, Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter, Antonio Cesaro, Curtis Axel, Paul Heyman, The Wyatt Family, Mick Foley, Damien Sandow, Jerry Lawler, and others while Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Fandango, Summer Rae, Booker T, The Bellas (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella), WWE Divas Champion A. J. Lee, Big E Langston, Zack Ryder, R-Truth, The Funkadactyls (Cameron & Naomi), and others will do the afternoon session. The Shield (WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose, WWE World Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns), Daniel Bryan, WWE World Champion Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Ryback, The Big Show, Randy Orton, and Kane will be participating in the Saturday VIP autograph session. The Sunday general admission autograph session will have Rob Van Dam, Christian, The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso), Brodus Clay, Zack Ryder, Justin Gabriel, Tensai, Rosa, Tamina, Ted DiBiase, and others still to be announced. Meanwhile, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, and Shawn Michaels will do the VIP session on Sunday as well. Premium VIP sessions will have WWE Heavyweight Champion John Cena, Triple H, and CM Punk while no Superstars on Sunday. General Admission tickets are $25, VIP are $95, and Premium VIP are $150. Axxess will run on August 17th and 18th.

Despite Diamond Dallas Page and Jake Roberts campaigning for Roberts to be a 2014 Royal Rumble entrant, word from WWE is that they are not even considering it right now and probably won't consider it until early January. If anything happens, it would probably be a last minute deal.

While WWE sources are keeping quiet regarding Ric Flair, and not confirming anything, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that something is happening regarding ?The Nature Boy?. The company would like to use the Hall of Famer for public relations and to help sell merchandise. Despite the recent negative publicity, Flair remains Triple H?s wrestling idol.

There are reports of WWE being in talks with Ric Flair about signing a new deal soon. WWE officials are interested in having Flair work a position where they can use him for public relations purposes purposes and use him to sell merchandise. The flipside is that while under contract, WWE wouldn't want Flair to associate with things that have made him a lot of money like the North Carolina Lottery.

With the departure of Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff has assumed the role of the head of TNA Creative. Matt Conway and former WWE Creative team member Dave Lagana remain on as writers. The feeling is the direction isn?t going to be changing much from what was happening with Prichard out of the mix.

Harley Race reportedly suffered a dislocated hip in a fall. The hip wasn't broken, but it had to be reset and he's in a lot of pain. Race's office said he did not fall and dislocate his hip but it was a recurring hip problem that has been giving him trouble and he was resting at home. Either way, Race had to cancel his appearance at the Gateway Grizzlies baseball game in Sauget, IL on August 9th. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Cade Sydal was recently diagnosed with a shoulder contussion and muscle strain. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
