Bishop's Inner Animal Unleashed!

For 6 months, Brandon Bishop has faced members of Impact, Inc. in every kind of match imaginable. And it appears that he has finally driven the nail in his issue with them after defeating their leader, IZW owner John Zorthos, for the 2nd time in a Dog Collar Match at IZW's return show to Oklahoma city.

Back in September, Bishop agreed to set aside differences with Coach Gary Tool and team up in a 3-on-2 handicap match against members of Impact, Inc. But Tool ended up betraying Bishop and joining Zorthos' faction, putting Bishop on the road to revenge against the green-clad egotists that have been able to do pretty much whatever they want since the company opened in 2004.

In October, Bishop singled out Bernie Donderwitz to serve as the focus of his aggressions and beat him in the middle of the ring, sending a message that he was just the start. From there, Bishop bypassed the other members of Impact, Inc. and went straight to the top, owner John Zorthos. At one time, Zorthos & Bishop were close friends, members of the same faction in ACW, which Bishop owned. But there was no spark of that friendship when they met up in November and Bishop, after poisoning Bernie Donderwitz and spoiling Gary Tool's birthday party, handed Zorthos a loss in the ring as well. However the night didn't end well for Bishop as the other members of Impact, Inc. left him bloodied in the middle of the ring. So Bishop decided to get a little extreme and demanded a Dog Collar Match for their premiere show in Empire, OK. One of the most sadistic forms of matches where 2 men are tied together at the neck and all the rules are thrown out. Zorthos lost that match, and quite a bit of blood, as did Bishop, but the issues still weren't settled.

In January, Bishop got his hands on the man who started the whole issue as he faced Brad Michaels and Gary Tool in a Handicap Match and Impact, Inc. went down again in a resounding defeat. But Bishop still could hear the nagging voice of John Zorthos in the back of his head, saying that if he had one more shot at Bishop, things would be different. So that chance came in March when IZW, who had made their debut as a federation 3 years before, returned to Oklahoma City with Bishop and Zorthos signed to another Dog Collar Match.

Neither man had anything to say before the match started, although both men could be seen cussing up a storm under their breath in the ring. Zorthos refused to put the collar on and did everything he could to avoid being put in the restraints, all the while busting Bishop open and leaving him a dripping crimson mess. But the action had barely started when they took each other outside the ring and over the ring barricade, past frightened audience members towards the back of the National Guard Armoury. Bishop began his retaliation at this point, immobilising Zorthos, then having the security guards hoist him up on top of the lockers where he could come splashing down on Zorthos and them. Bishop then dragged Zorthos' limp body back into the ring for more punishment, before finally finishing him off with a 9-Mile Drive for the pin.

So where does this leave Bishop and Impact, Inc. Bishop has yet to face member Aaron Neil (who has been focusing on regaining the IZW Title from Michael Barry) in any form of match, but has disposed of all other contenders. Perhaps it's time for Bishop to pursue some IZW gold. As for Impact, Inc., they need to seriously regroup. While they have the owner and commissioner (Bernie Donderwitz) under their thumb, they don't seem to have much focus and have been easy targets for one man to take out. Some unification is in order or the most dominant faction in IZW history may soon be just another memory.
