Twin Troubles! Syndicate Face Challenges In Two Federations

MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions The Syndicate have been making the rounds in Oklahoma recently. And it appears no matter where they go, trouble follows. The twin brothers have certainly been embroiled in some prominent feuds and this past weekend saw them in action in Sapulpa and Midwest City.
The Syndicate made their debut a few months ago in SRPW and drew the attention of J. B., who gained a victory over Shawn Sanders thanks to a quick 3-count from referee Trevor Mapleleaf. One month later, Sanders wanted revenge and attempted to gain it by facing Mapleleaf in a 1-on-1 match. Sanders did get the victory, albeit by DQ thanks to interference from J. B. And that prompted The Syndicate to demand a Texas Tornado Tag Team match against the dastardly Canadian duo. That wish was granted and that match was immediately out of control. With all 4 men allowed in the ring at the same time, the action went everywhere. And most of that action focused on Shawn & Scott Sanders punishing Mapleleaf for his actions in previous weeks. It seemed not matter what J. B. did, it was ineffective. So J. B. resorted to underhanded tactics, taking a pair of handcuffs and locking Scott to the bottom rope. The Canadians then doubleteamed Shawn as Scott could only watch, desperately reaching to try and assist his brother. It was to no avail as J. B. & Trevor pulled out a victory in this match.
While Canadians provide a problem for The Syndicate in Sapulpa, the problems in Midwest City are a little more homegrown. As Mid-South Tag Team Champions, The Syndicate have been the focus of attention for Impact, Inc. Jermaine Johnson & Jordan Jacobs have made no secret that they want their tag team titles back. But they have also been busy assisting MSWA Mid-South & IZW Champion Johnny Z in his efforts to protect his title from Double D. D faced Mark Wilson in the opening match Sunday, but Impact, Inc. made their presence known right after D was able to collect a win. A gangland style beating followed until The Syndicate came to the rescue and the sides were evened. MSWA owner Bad Boy arrived and made a 6-man tag match for later in the show. Before that match began, the Syndicate addressed the crowd, saying that Impact, Inc. had long been critical of them as wrestlers and champions. But unlike Impact, Inc., The Syndicate fought for their belts in an effort to bring them to the people. But all the talk was done when Impact, Inc. came to the ring. After some initial success, Double D was isolated and the Syndicate lead chants of encouragement from the apron before D could finally make a tag. Soon after, all six men were in the ring and The Syndicate were unceremoniously dumped to the outside. This allowed The Syndicate and Double D to repeat the 3-on-1 scenario from earlier in the show, but this time, it didn't end in Impact, Inc's favour as Double D connected with a crossbody from the top on their leader for the win. This certainly provided the fan favourite group momentum heading into Mid-South Meltdown.
The Syndicate are still determined to take the SWCW Tag Team titles from The Sharpe Brothers and are scheduled to defend their titles against Impact, Inc. at Mid-South Meltdown. But those dreams may be in trouble as Scott Sanders underwent an emergency appendectomy this week. It is unknown how soon he will be able to compete again.
