Rogers has a "Lil" problem with Valentino

Once again, it appears that Russ Rogers' mouth has overrun his ample posterior as he came out humiliated after an appearance at the ComPro event at Clinton Middle School.

Rocco Valentino had brought out Brian Lakewood, a fellow coach in the Tulsa Public Schools system. Valentino then invited Rogers out to the ring for little personal conversation. ComPro commissioner Mike Iles came out to question Valentino's decision, but Rocco was determined to meet his nemesis. And when Rogers arrived, the place went bezerk. An incredibly unhappy crowd remembered how last time, Rogers had broken Valentino's ribs in their main event confrontation and extra security, along with all available referees as well as the announce team were required to keep the crowd from stampeding over the barrier and attacking Rogers. Rogers entered the ring and looked as if he intended to say something to Valentino, but the crowd was so vocal that it was impossible for Rogers to be heard, much less to think about what he wanted to say. And so, without saying anything, Rogers left. And Valentino departed as well, allowing the show to begin.

Valentino was part of a Fatal 4-Way Match, taking on Tim Rockwell, Crossfire Morrison and OWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Michael Wolf. Valentino got an opportunity to engage in combat against all 3 of these men, ultimately forcing Rockwell to submit. Despite a gruelling match against 3 opponents, Valentino did not retreat to the showers. Instead, he once again called out Russ Rogers. And again, the scenario was much like the beginning of the show. But this time, Rogers didn't leave. Valentino remained calm, obviously having a plan. And that plan was revealed as the conversation occurred between the two men. Valentino said he knew that Rogers wanted to get his hands on him. And he would agree to that as long as Rogers agreed to two stipulations. The first was that Rogers had to defeat a friend of Valentino's in the main event. Rogers snatched the microphone away and declared to the fans that he could easily defeat Brian Lakewood as he had done so before. But Rocco took the microphone back and said that Lakewood wasn't the friend he had in mind. Instead, Rocco brought out Midget World Champion Lil G. And the look on Rogers' face was that of a man who had just found $10,000 laying in the middle of the sidewalk with no one around. He couldn't believe his perceived luck. And he said that he would have no problem defeating Rocco's friend. Rocco then left the ring. But what about the 2nd stipulation?

That was announced immediately prior to the main event. Rogers arrived with Kyle Kelly and Tim Rockwell, but Lil G came out by himself. Not intimidated, G entered the ring and Rogers then addressed commissioner Mike Iles, who was handling the ring announcing for the main event spot. Iles said that the 2nd stipulation was that there would be a special referee for the main event. And that referee was...Rocco Valentino! Rogers went ballistic, but Valentino promised to call the match fairly and be impartial. Rogers immediately began mocking Lil G, proposing a test of strength. But G wasn't tall enough to lock hands, so Rogers brought Kelly in to boost G up. This backfired as G forced Kelly to his knees, bringing Rogers down with him. Additional interference by Kelly prompted Valentino to once again bring out Brian Lakewood, who battled Kelly to the back. Now, it was 1-on-1. Or at least that's what it appeared to be. But it seemed like everytime that Rogers attempted to pin G, Rocco would count slower than when the reverse happened. And that simply served to make Rogers more and more irate. As Rogers' blood boiled, he became less and less focused and, as amazing as it seems, the moment came when a 98-pound midget beat a 300-lb. monster. The crowd was elated to see the disrespectful Rogers put in his place one more time. And all of it was done to help once again raise funds for the Webster wrestling programme.

A future event is tentatively planned for the fall. It remains to be seen if Rogers will show his face once again or if two humiliations is enough.
