During WWE's recent tour of the United Kingdom, in each city, they announced a Twitter poll would decide if Zeb Colter would be at ringside for Jack Swagger's match. To no surprise, the poll closed with Colter being banned.
In a recent interview with Arda Ocal, Sgt. Slaughter revealed that he was originally slated to be Jack Swagger's manager instead of Zeb Colter. Also in the interview, he talked about how he was originally supposed to have a part in the movie "G. I. Joe: Retaliation", his current position within WWE, and much more. Jim Ross visited the UFC offices in Las Vegas, NV last week while he was in town for the annual Cauliflower Alley Club Convention. The visit was announced by Dave Sholler, the UFC Director of Communications, on Twitter, saying, ?Business just picked up at Zuffa HQs!? Ross was invited for an office tour by Marc Ratner who is the UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Jim Ross is a big MMA fan and often talks about the UFC shows on his blog. He expressed his wish several times to be able to call a UFC fight one day. On Twitter, Ross thanked Ratner for the tour and he said he enjoyed meeting UFC President Dana White. ?Cool dude. Great hospitality,? Ross wrote. White called meeting Ross an honor and said it was a pleasure to meet him as well.
Mick Foley posted on Twitter "If I could have done ONE last match @Jack_Fats ? it would have been with @CMPunk following those 2012 promos. But?I?m done, brother!"

Tons of stuff from the Cauliflower Alley Club banquet last Wednesday night. Tons of wrestlers were there including Bruce Swayze, Dan Kroffat (original), Adam "Edge" Copeland, Sgt. Slaughter, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, Jim Ross, Les Thatcher, Dallas Page, Jimmy Valiant, Adam Pearce, Rob Van Dam, Frankie Kazarian, Nigel McGuinness, Paul Vachon, The Destroyer (Dick Beyer), Ross Hart, Riki Ataki, Greg Valentine, Bob Geigel, Bill Kersten, Ron Hutchison, Nick Bockwinkel, Ata Johnson, Ivory, Cheerleader Melissa, Beth Phoenix, Leo Burke, Tom Andrews, Akio Sato, Rock Riddle, Don Manoukian, Cowboy Bob Kelly, Al Friend, Bill White, Ken Jugan, Buddy "Omar Atlas" Moreno, Willie Mack, Santana Garrett, Peggy Patterson, Beverly Shade, Bobby Boss, Michael Barry, Matt Riviera, Tom Simon, Mark Wilson, and tons of others.
Cauliflower Alley Club gave a presentation for Bill Moody (Paul Bearer) with Adam Pearce and another man not in wrestling, Ethan Emerson, who was Moody's best friend who was there at his death. He said Moody wanted Pearce there and also that he considered his award at CAC as the greatest honor of his life. He said when Moody realized he wasn't going to live to get the award he noted how proud he was to get it. Cowboy Bob Kelly, who was Moody's childhood wrestling idol, also gave a speech on Bill Moody.
Also at the CAC, Chris Cruise introduced promoter Matt Riviera to get an award. Sandy Partlow, a former woman's star, was introduced by her daughter. Jake Roberts was introduced by Dallas Page, who gave a great speech of his own, noting that he was happy to see Jimmy Valiant because he became a wrestling fan from the Valiant Brothers and Superstar Billy Graham. Jim Ross gave a long comedy-oriented speech, to introduce Adam Copeland (AKA Edge). This was impromptu in the sense that Copeland was not listed in the program as being the recipient of an award. Ross didn't appear to have a planned speech, although spoke very highly of Copeland as a person, calling him one of the few people welcome in his home at any time and said he considered him like one of his sons and one of the best people Ross ever signed. Copeland clearly didn't know because he had no speech planned at all, but he's a great talker. He brought up how weird it was to be honored while seeing Ricky Steamboat and Jake Roberts a few feet away from each other right in front of him since they were two of the people who were his favorite wrestlers as a kid. He said it was surreal. He noted he will never wrestle again, but feels fortunate when he listed nearly every major star of the last 20 years that he was able to wrestle.
Here are a few notes from Jake Roberts' speech:
-He gave a speech, saying he came close to committing suicide on a number of occasions but now hopes he'll do things that he'll be remembered more for than his wrestling career.
- He thanked WWE for being there to help but admitted he wasn?t ready at the time to accept the help.
- He said ?I had a great 37 years in the ring, and I hope it pales in comparison to my next 20 years helping others with my problem?
- In 1997, he called Dallas Page and said ?thank you for reinventing the DDT?. Page says it is one of his biggest honors
- He said he actually lived with Page in 1992. One night his lost his snake in the house.

When asked if he was copying Taz or The Grappler with his "Beat me if you can" catch phrase, Gus Sonnen said The Grappler. This is interesting because for years when Sonnen was in character, he would deny ever watching pro wrestling. He said Denton and he thanked people for recognizing it.
Eric Simms posted on Facebook "quick update on ox baker. he did not have a heart attack as reported. he had dizziness and when he checked into the hospital they found fluid on his lungs. more updtes as I get them".
