Interview with IZW Superstar "The Worst in the World" Copycat

Interview with IZW Superstar "The Worst in the World" Copycat

Posted: Mar 21st 2013 By: CMBurnham

Usually I enjoy doing interviews with IZW Superstars?..usually. Last week I was awakened by my phone ringing at 3am in the morning. It was Copycat. The last time I spoke to Copycat was in November when I wrote a story on him. We had a nice enough conversation back then, and my article was well received by him and the wrestling community at large. In fact, there?s never been one complaint on a story I?ve ever written, until now. Copycat was enraged at not only myself but seemingly life in general and he demanded I drop everything I was doing, (which was sleeping) and interview him immediately and write another story on him. On the ?true? Copycat as he called it. Being woken up from a dead sleep, I wasn?t really in the best frame of mind to conduct an interview, and I politely explained this to Copycat who couldn?t seem to care less about my situation. He wasn?t taking no for an answer, no matter what I said. So at 3am in the morning, I shuffled downstairs to conduct one of the weirdest interviews in my career with none other than ?The Worst in the World? Copycat.

My first question naturally was to see how things were going for Copycat. ?It?s not going well at all for the ?Worst in the World.? Not when you have people that have power and no idea how to manage that power. But it?s okay, Copycat will be just fine,? Copycat snapped.

His next response made it clear the reason Copycat had wanted to do the interview.

?Last time I did an interview with you, I was LYING! I have a harder edge because I?m not lying to myself anymore. I was saying anything and everything to be accepted. I thought that is what I had to do to make the so called ?fans? like me. After making the decision of just being myself, the ?fans? boo me. I don?t have anything to say to the fans. If you wanna be my friend, you gotta earn it! And there?s not one fan out there that has earned anything from me. My in-ring actions made me a champion. Which I still am!?
When I pressed Copycat on how he could call himself a champion without carrying any gold he was even more adamant. ?In my eyes I?m still a champion. I never lost MY championships. They were taken from me,? Copycat declared.

Herein lies Copycat?s bone of contention in IZW. He feels wronged, robbed and fleeced.

The new and ?improved? Copycat is out for one thing and that?s to collect championships. Everything else is in his rear view mirror. The fans, his boss, even his old tag team partner, that he won IZW gold with. Copycat has moved on from everything in his past and is trailblazing a new path for his career that looks to be very profitable if not ethical or honorable. When pressed about his past, he offered up only this.

?Team Remix is just a name. Morte has done more for me in recent weeks than anyone I?ve met in IZW so far. He knows what Johnny Z did to me was wrong, because he?s been in the same position that I am in right now. And he still gets the shaft by Johnny Z, just like me. Morte has opened my eyes to what?s wrong with IZW. He is leading me on the path to get all the rights that I deserve, instead of the wrongs that have been forced upon me,? Copycat replied.

Speaking of Johnny Z, it was Z who stripped Copycat of his tag team titles when Copycat was unable to find a partner and defend the titles within 30 days. It was Z?s recent actions that sent Copycat off the deep end and getting revenge on ?The Natural Born Leader? consumes the thoughts and actions of ?The Worst in the World? these days.

?I was gonna break Johnny Z at March Mayhem in our singles match, but Z and his chicken ways have found another means to cheat me out of destroying him. Me and him both know that he put himself into a position where he is doomed! He didn?t want to wrestle ?The Worst in the World? Copycat in an Impact Rules Match. Think about it for a minute?he is old and washed up. He realized that he was going into a brutal match with a real man. Most likely he got Shawn McHale to make a match with him and Morte for the Impact Division Title. He had his boy-toy Jermaine Johnson there to make sure he won the title. He is a Natural Born?.Cheater. Thing is?.Johnny Z is not a smart man. Morte gets and deserves a rematch for the title. I have a contract already signed to face Z at March Mayhem. The reason why he is doomed, is because now he is going to have to defend the Impact Division Title in a Fatal Four Way Falls Count Anywhere Match. Three strong warriors and then there is old man Z. Doomed,? Copycat said.

I about got my head bit off when I broached the question of what concerned Copycat the most in the Fatal Four Way Fall Count Anywhere Match. ?Did you not just hear what I said? I don?t have fear. Johnny Z is the one living in fear right now. Next question!?

Although Johnny Z takes up most of Copycat?s hate these days, there is still more than enough to spread around the rest of the IZW locker room.

?Everyone knows I?m a vicious, dangerous man. When I go into a match I bring the pain. Every single person watching me knows they don?t want to be in the ring with ?The Worst in the World?. Recently, I was in the ring with Double D. With the crap Johnny Z pulled on me, my brilliant and strategic self wasn?t focused on Double D. He got lucky. I would love to show that Trekkie what the worst side of the force is like. He would fall to his doom quicker than Spock?s mother did. Darkness always covers light Double D. Write that down.?

With all of the various platforms IZW is broadcast on (GFL.tv every Saturday night at 8:00pm EST, The Comcast Network (TCN) every other Saturday night) Copycat is only looking at one date. ?Comcast, GFL, IZW, the world, stay tuned. March 23rd at March Mayhem I?m gonna retire Johnny Z. For good this time. No more jokes. No more HaHaHa?No more running Johnny.?

It was now close to 4:00am and Copycat had spewed his venom and disgust with just about everything that I brought up, with most of it being unprintable. Finally, I asked him what he thought of himself and I was convinced I had been on the phone, in the dead of night, listening to the ravings of a madman.

?I?m pretty sure every wrestler in the back will say that they bring it and that they are the best. But they are not the worst?.I am. Copycat and Morte are the future wrestlers that will run IZW. HaHaHa?...I?m the WORST IN THE WORLD! I say that I am because I mean it. I take what is mine and show no remorse later. The sooner everyone in this world realizes what they have to do to survive this mad house of a world we live in, the sooner they will be masters of their own destiny. It?s a dog eat dog world out there. You step on a man to get what you want or that man will step on you. Stupid people better get their minds right real quick, or you will be left at the bottom. Love me or hate me, I?ll be on top. Where you don?t belong. Because I am the ?WORST IN THE WORLD? Copycat!?
