WWE Announces Return Date for Hall of Fame Announcer Jerry Lawler

A familiar face has been missing from the WWE world for more than two months, but Jerry "The King" Lawler is finally returning to the commentator's booth.
According to Wrestling Inc.'s Raj Giri, Lawler will return to RAW in two weeks:
WWE announced that WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler will return to the commentator's booth on RAW in two weeks on November 12th. It will be Lawler's first time calling a WWE match since he suffered a heart attack in early September.
Lawler's heart attack on September 10 sent shock waves through the professional wrestling world. His voice has become synonymous with WWE's brand, and his presence as a ringside announcer seemed unwavering.
He was breathing on his own when he arrived at the hospital, but that didn't make the situation any less scary. Anytime a 62-year-old deals with issues like this, they can take a serious turn at any moment.
Since then, Lawler has had heart surgery. It's been a long road to recovery, but hearing that he's finally ready to return is the best possible news. His energy is unmatched as a commentator, and his quirks couldn't possibly be replicated by any other set of pipes.
It's hard to imagine that Lawler is going to jump in and challenge another athlete anytime soon, but that should be the only change. Other than that, expect him to bring his typical flavor to every episode of RAW.
Lawler has been around the professional wrestling world for around 50 years. He obviously doesn't play the same role that he used to, but his commentary gives each telecast an element of theater that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
With his passion for the WWE, you can bet Lawler will be giddy on November 12. It's great that he's set to return, but it's even better to know that his health is allowing him to do so.
