Striking Gold!

When he first appeared on the scene, he seemed like a loudmouth punchline to a bad joke. A manager who alligned himself with one of the most underperforming wrestlers in SRPW AND was named after one of the Golden Girls.
Now, he stands atop the company as the commissioner, leads the most powerful faction in said company AND controls 2 of the 3 titles.
No one can say B-Arthur is a joke anymore.
Slowly, but surely, Arthur has been assembling a collection of talent to run over all the other competitors in SRPW. And last Saturday, he took another step in the right direction by forcing Jonah Turk to sign over control of SRPW to him in front of the crowd at SRPW's new home in Sapulpa.
Just before that happened, Graham Bell captured his first singles title when he defeated Kyle Everlast for the SRPW United States title. Although Arthur wasn't at ringside for that match, when he came out to confront Turk, Bell, along with Luke Langley, Sasha & SRPW & BYEW Champion Sam Stackhouse were all present for the intimidation.
Arthur then proclaimed the formation of the "Golden Alliance" and declared that there was no one in the locker room who could pin Stackhouse. That statement was challenged when Nate Martinez, who had been absent from SRPW for 4 months, made his way out to the ring. With the retirement of Bobby Burns, Martinez stands as perhaps the one person who could match size with Stackhouse. Arthur ordered the Alliance to attack them and the K. C. Wolves moved right in, but Martinez shrugged them off and turned his attention back to the champion, making it clear that he was answering the challenge and wanted to face Stackhouse in the main event.
One more factor was added to that main event when Stackhouse arrived to defend his title. In addition to Arthur and Sasha, BYEW Caution and SWCW Hardcore Champion Drake Gallows, a fellow member of the Clockwork Clique, came out with Stackhouse. Martinez chose to face these potential 4-on-1 odds alone. And he seemed to be up to the task as he focused on the hands of Stackhouse before taking the match outside. A collision of almost 800 lbs of humanity severely tested the sturdiness of the walls of SRPW's new permanent home, but they held firm. It seemed that no matter what Stackhouse brought, Martinez could handle it and give him back more.
Seeing that his champion was in jeopardy, Arthur hobbled over to the far side of the ring and climbed up on the ring apron, despite being hampered by an injured leg and crutches. Meanwhile, Martinez positioned Stackhouse in the corner and prepared to collide with him with a running splash. But as he approached the corner, Gallows hit him 3 times with a kendo stick, dazing the big challenger and knocking him down. Stackhouse moved in and covered him and referee John the Encourager made the 3 count. Stackhouse retained the title and B-Arthur was ecstatic as he led his champion from the ring area.
The obvious corruption that will be emanating from the offices of SRPW does not bode well for the fans. Arthur's narcissism and silver tongue serve as a dismal preview of things to come. With Martinez disposed of as a challenger, the question now stands: Who can put up a challenge to Stackhouse? Who can match his size and power? And who has the ability to survive the presence of the Golden Alliance at ringside?
"The Golden Boy" looks to have gold in his stable's possession for a long time.
