WWE News: Mick Foley Confirms Return for 1,000th Episode of Raw

First, The Rock announces his return (WWE.com), and now his former tag-partner Mick Foley has also confirmed his WWE return.

Foley tweeted the following during Monday Night Raw:

I am sure I am not alone in saying that I would mark out for a one night only Rock N' Sock Connection vs. D-X match on Raw. However, I am almost certain that won't happen as The Rock has made it clear that he is gunning for the WWE title.

However, I feel that particular tag-match is not completely out of reach, as the WWE will have many returning Legends for the 1,000th episode of Raw. And, to me, the WWE could get more bang for their buck if they took the Legends that are still healthy enough to fight and booked them in a "retro" match for that night only.

Not only would WWE's current fanbase go nuts, but the casual fan that's expected to tune in that night would also have a reason to watch. Then the WWE could build up off of that and possibly regain some of their lost fans of the past.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: We will have to wait and see what happens in two weeks. The WWE has their work cut out for them in order to make that show great.
