WWE News: Hall of Famer Possibly Appearing at Tonight's SmackDown
Posted: Jul 3rd 2012 By: mikeiles
WWE.com currently has an Independence Day-themed article up entitled 15 Patriotic Moments We Salute?which, you guessed it?looks at 15 patriotic moments in WWE history.
You can read the full article here, but some moments mentioned in the article include Hulk Hogan rescuing Eugene from Muhammad Hassan and Daivari (who interestingly aren't mentioned in the article) at WrestleMania 21, Tribute to the Troops, Lex Luger bodyslamming Yokozuna, and John Cena announcing the death of Osama Bin Laden.
Considering tonight's SmackDown is Independence Day/Great American Bash-themed, fans can expect at least one patriotic moment.
It's probably safe to say that one patriotic moment will revolve around a certain WWE Hall of Famer: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan?one of the most patriotic wrestlers in history.
According to 411Mania,
WWE Hall of Famer "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan told people during an appearance on Sunday that he'll be at the live 'Great American Bash' themed episode of SmackDown on Tuesday.
As for what Duggan will be doing tonight, your guess is as good as mine.
Perhaps Duggan will face off against an angry foreigner like Jinder Mahal or Hunico?which would give Duggan and the fans in Corpus Christi, TX a reason to chant "USA."
Personally, I'd rather see Duggan win the scheduled 20-man battle royal. He deserves a memorable moment and I'm sure it would be a feel-good moment for all Duggan fans like myself.
What would you like to see "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan do at tonight's SmackDown?
Would you like to see Duggan win the 20-man battle royal or would you like to see someone else win it?
Also, if you live outside the USA, do you feel alienated by tonight's Independence Day-themed SmackDown?
