Loser One Day, Winner the Next: Brandon Walker Still A Top Champion In Oklahoma

The feud that has been ongoing for the first half of 2012 may finally be at an end.

Or is it?

Since cashing in his Anytime/Anywhere Contract in January and defeating Tim Rockwell for the ComPro Title, Brandon Walker has had an amazing string of luck in the company. He held the title a little short of 5 months. He defended against top calibre talent like Rockwell, Steven Sterling, The Canadian Red Devil and even Tulsa legend Brian Lakewood.

Walker's success wasn't confined to the ComPro Title. He was the first Triple Crown Champion in 2012, also holding the ComPro Showtime Title and the UWE United States Title at the same time.

The main thorns in Walker's side were Rockwell and CRD. CRD held a victory (by DQ) over Walker, while Rockwell had not been victorious against Walker in 2012. But as things progressed, Walker made it clear that he believed he could handle both men. And he was wrong about that.

Rockwell & CRD, though sometimes allies, were showing strong signs of professional jealousy at many of the ComPro shows and May 19 was no different. Both men battled out to the ring as ComPro owner Mike Two attempted to open the show. Mike attempted to capitalise on the situation by ordering a match between them to determine the #1 contender to the ComPro Title and forcing Walker to serve as the special referee. Walker obviously wanted nothing to do with the entire situation and quickly made that known by giving both men the Defamation of Character, then counting them both down and declaring that there was no winner, thus no challenger for his title.

Mike Two wasn't going to sit for this and ordered a Triple Threat Match for June 1 where Walker would have to defend the title against BOTH men. And when time came for that match, Rockwell & CRD couldn't wait to get their hands on each other, brawling in the ring before Walker could even arrive. As Walker's music played, he calmly strode to the ring, thinking that he had all the time in the world, apparently not thinking about how he could lose his title without actually being pinned. But soon enough, Walker was in full sway of the match. All three men locked on submission holds to each other in the middle of the ring, putting referee Mark Wilson in a difficult position when it came to determining who might submit. And eventually Wilson himself was a non-factor as he was knocked out of the ring in an errant collision with one of the three competitors. Walker then grabbed the championship belt and hit CRD. He then turned his attention to hit Rockwell, appearing to once again be on his way to retaining the title through illegal methods.

And then, in an amazing moment, Mike Iles arrived and stopped Walker. The former leader of Excellence Personified announced to the crowd that he was the new commissioner of ComPro and that Walker was not going to win the belt that way. Instead, he would need to put the belt down and do it correctly. Walker dropped the belt, but the time of the argument between himself and Iles allowed Rockwell to recover and deliver a Grapevine DDT, where Walker landed on the belt. Three seconds later, the reign of Brandon Walker was finally at an end and the fans rejoiced as once again they had a "Terrific" champion.

A little karma played out the very next night as all 3 men were involved in the Sooner Stampede for the vacant UWE Title. CRD was thrown out fairly early, but Walker and Rockwell, along with Fuel, were the final 3 men. And when it came down to Walker and Rockwell, the same feelings they had in ComPro surfaced. Rockwell longed to become a dual champion and Walker wanted to reclaim a position as a champion in Oklahoma. Walker's dream was eventually realised as he clotheslined Rockwell over the top and stood as the last man in the Stampede and the new UWE title.

Both men are now enjoying their second reigns with their respective titles. Walker's first title reign is the shortest in UWE history as he defeated Jon Cross for the title at the beginnign fo the show on July 24, 2010, only to lose it back to him at the end of the show that same day. Rockwell's first reign appears to be much longer, holding the ComPro title from April 2011 to January 2012, but for 6 of those months, ComPro was an inactive federation.
