OKC Turf War Steps Up! Could Memorial Day Fireworks Be Near?

The ongoing war between MSWA and SWCW escalated on May 13, leading to a near riot as representatives from both sides divided the ring and tensions reached the boiling point for both rosters.

Two weeks prior, with the SWCW representation at ringside, MSWA Commissioner Kevin Morgan invited SWCW owner Kareem Sadat into the ring. He reminded him that he was on MSWA turf and in the presence of the commissioner, but in the interest of fairness, he would allow Sadat to pick any member of the assembled SWCW roster to face off against a member of the MSWA roster. Sadat picked what many thought should be the obvious choice, SWCW Maniac Mike. Morgan countered by announcing that MSWA would be represented by their owner, Bad Boy! And when it was time for the match to occur, the SWCW was put on the line, showing the confidence of Sadat in this encounter. When it appeared that Mike would not be able to hold onto the title, Sadat interfered and earned his champion a DQ loss. That brought the rest of the SWCW roster in to the ring to beat down Bad Boy until Rudy Edwards and Tyson Jaymes came to the rescue. Try as they might, Edwards & Jaymes weren't enough, but the arrival of "The Awesome One" and the rest of the MSWA locker room sent the SWCW forces scattering. Sadat and Bad Boy exchanged some heated words with each other and in the course of this action, Sadat even fired Tyson Jaymes from SWCW! Bad Boy closed out the verbal exchange by suggesting that he might show up on May 5th to the SWCW show and he then ordered the SWCW members out of the building.

Bad Boy was true to his word, disguising himself as a luchadore and interfering in one of the matches and being a one-man wrecking crew. But while he continues to act alone, Sadat and the SWCW crew are seemingly a unified force. Rudy Edwards and Tyson Jaymes were set to face off one-on-one, but that match got thrown out when Sadat and SWCW Tag Team Champion Rick Russo hit the ring and attacked both men. Once again, Bad Boy came to the rescue and demanded a match against Sadat. Sadat agreed, as long as it was held under Streetfight rules. Bad Boy had no problems with that and the match was on. But with Streetfight conditions in play, it was easy for Russo to stick his nose into things and he had no personal qualms against doing so. Once again, the match broke down as both rosters took the ring and divided it in half, facing each other in a stand-off. When Kevin Morgan was finally able to restore some order, he set up the main event for Memorial Day weekend. Bad Boy, Rudy Edwards & Tyson Jaymes vs. Kareem Sadat and any two members of the SWCW roster he cares to pick.

Obviously questions now circulate as to who Sadat will pick. Will it be former members of the Hardcore Connection? Perhaps the SWCW Tag Team Champions The Franchise Players? Or are there roster members that Sadat has in reserve, waiting to debut this Saturday and thus be eligible for Sunday's match? As both sides continue to fire shots in the volley of war this has become, there is almost nothing left that could surprise the fans as far as tactics go between the federations. Neither is willing to give up until they reign supreme as the best example of wrestling that the Oklahoma City area has to offer.
