The SWF goes Old School

Posted: Apr 26th 2012 By: mikeiles

In addition to the announced main event of the 4-way Freakshow Challenge and the announcement of International superstar Rocky Romero?s joining the SWF roster, another bombshell has been dropped on the SWF fan base. On May 18th, Woodland California will witness the return of ?Old School? Oliver John.

SWF owner Josh Edlow was seen smiling from ear to ear when this announcement was made. ?I have known Oliver John for a long time, and we have been discussing his eventual debut for the SWF for a long time,? Edlow said. ?It was all a matter of timing.? The time is apparently right for Pioneer High School.

?Old School? Oliver John is widely known as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world today. He has wrestled some of wrestling?s biggest names including a match on WWE programming against current World Heavyweight champion Sheamus. He was also the recipient of the Cauliflower Alley Club?s ?Future Legend Award.? He has since been primarily working as part of the Border Patrol in Pro Wrestling Revolution?s Lucha Libre promotion.

Now, ?Old School? returns to his roots as part of the SWF roster. When asked the question as to who Oliver John would be wrestling, Edlow was quick to respond. ?I asked Oliver who he?d like to get in the ring with on May 18th. The response was swift and clear. Oliver John wants Rocky Romero.?
