NEWS
Chelsea Handler of "Chelsea Lately" on E! Network, totally blew off Beth Phoenix's Twitter challenge on her show Thursday night. Chelsea had buried SummerSlam and women's wrestling several days ago and Beth took offense to it, essentially saying if she wanted to see what women's wrestling was all about she'd be happy to show her. "No thanks," said Handler, and blew it off in a way that suggests this is not and will not become an angle.

Madusa posted the following on Twitter, directed towards Beth Phoenix: "hope u can hold a real championship belt the correct way? And not like a pansy ass diva belt on your shoulder!"

Madusa recently posted a video on You Tube. After she tries to sell her latest T-shirt and other merchandise, she has some comments for Beth Phoenix. You can see the video by clicking [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buqR2n3OiiA].

Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were advertised locally in Memphis, TN to wrestle last Monday night, but after the show ended Cole said "No, I can't do that, there is a hole in the ring" which was true due to Kane coming up through the mat to attack Zack Ryder. John Cena said "You aren't having a wrestling match, you're having a streetfight", which actually was what the match was billed. Lawler completely destroyed Cole, including ripping his pants off and giving him the piledriver, which he's not allowed to use on TV. People enjoyed it, aside from the Michael Cole in his underwear part.

Jim Ross did some announcing at the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trailblazers game on January 3rd in Oklahoma City at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. January 3rd also happened to be JR's 60th birthday. You can see a video of JR announcing at the Thunder game by clicking here.

During the Orange Bowl, Jim Ross posted on Twitter: "WVU-Clemson Orange Bowl horrid for non fan of either team. Also, 3 man broadcast booth essentially sucks in football, wrestling, etc."

The first inductees announced for the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame are Edge and The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and James J. Dillon). You can see WWE's Four Horsemen video announcing their Hall of Fame induction by clicking here.

Roddy Piper will be on the "Legends House" show that will be on the WWE Network. Filming starts in a few weeks and it'll be one of the first series on the network when it debuts in April.

The Honky Tonk Man posted the following on Twitter: "Statement on WWE/Piper. Regarding Rowdy Roddy Piper saying on Twitter I?m going into the WWE legends house with him. I have NOT talked to anyone from WWE about anything other than my ownership of The Patriot trademark. Where this came from is anyone?s guess. You fans know HTM does not BS on things. We do not know who is spreading the rumors. If the Piper camp is involved, all we can say is there is no truth to the statement. Believe HTM or someone else."

Bill Goldberg, the former WCW World Champion and WWE World Heavyweight Champion, wrote on Twitter responding to a fan that he would do a match against Lesnar at WrestleMania if the opportunity comes. The original tweet was answered by Ross who said that a match between the two would be ?miraculous,? although ?highly unlikely.? And that?s when Goldberg came in with his response. ???I?d do it,? Goldberg wrote in reply to Ross? tweet. Goldberg and Lesnar fought each other at WrestleMania XX at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY and that match ended up being Lesnar?s last match in his WWE career. The match, refereed by Steve Austin, was won by Goldberg but Austin had the last laugh of the night as he ended up delivering the stunner to Goldberg when the two were celebrating.

Ryan Dilbert of BleacherReport.com wrote a story entitled "WWE's 25 Worst Managers, Valets & Other Seconds Ever" and coming in at #1 was Sapphire, former valet for Dusty Rhodes (and later Ted DiBiase after Sapphire turned on Rhodes). Others on the list included Oliver Humperdink at #24, Kim Chee at #10, Coach (AKA John Tolos) at #9, and The Genius at #2. To read the entire story, click here.

Kenny McKnight of BleacherReport.com wrote a story entitled "WWE: Top 10 Most Intriguing Dream Matches in Professional Wrestling". Coming in at #1 was Steve Austin vs. CM Punk. Among the other dream matches listed were Jake Roberts vs. Raven at #9, Andre the Giant vs. The Big Show at #4, and Sting vs. Undertaker at #2. To read the entire story, click here.

Chris Humphrey of BleacherReport.com wrote a story entitled "WWE Royal Rumble 2012: The 10 Worst Performances in Royal Rumble History" and coming in at #1 was Santino Marella from the 2009 Royal Rumble. Also ranked in the list were Jerry Lawler in 1997 at #6 and Bushwacker Luke in 1991 at #5. You can read the entire story by clicking here.

Kevin Nash made the following comments on Twitter about Ultimate Warrior: "Never realized I had a problem with Jim (Warrior). Seemed to get along fine in Scottsdale. Come on my clown, turn that frown upside down. I?m talking shoot, not sports entertainment. Jim Hellwig needs to put up or shut the f**k up. Day before Mania in Miami area. Warrior will have to pass all hiv and hep a b and c tests. I?ll do the same. I?m tired of this guy talking sh*t about the boys & me. When they stop it or you tap, i?ll quit, or you can apologize like the c*nt you are." Nash followed that up with another post on Twitter: "You should watch your mouth,You know your a bitch .You want nothing to do with me. You ran out of your gym to avoid me. You want to go pussy name the place and time. If not shut your dick sucker and forget my name. Bitch make me 100k richer". The next day Nash was back on Twitter: "I knew i would get no response because i know Jim Helwig, in the future when my name comes up pass Jim, puss". Warrior responded to Nash's posts by posting on Twitter himself: "Mr Warrior has filmed a video response to Kevin Nash. Stay tuned. #TeamWarrior". To see the video posted by Warrior in response to Nash's Twitter posts, click here. Nash then responded to Warrior's video with a Twitter post: "Helwig goes Dr. evil on me. What does he want, 1 billion dollars? How about this Jim, you pick the time and place for free and fun."

Hulk Hogan commented on the ongoing Twitter feud between Kevin Nash and Ultimate Warrior. ?In a real fight Nash will destroy the Underdog Worrier.?

Regarding the wacky Kevin Nash vs. Ultimate Warrior "shoot" challenge, RF Video has offered Nash a venue in Miami on WrestleMania weekend. Rob Feinstein said he talked to Nash about it and Nash was all ready to go, but Warrior's people hadn't contacted him back yet. Keep in mind, both sides want the other to put up $100,000.

Brad Nessler, an ESPN announcer who is friends with Ric Flair, when talking about a Virginia Tech player who has style in a game on Tuesday said, "styling and profiling, like my friend Ric Flair."

Abdullah the Butcher was booked for the current All Japan Pro Wrestling tour, despite being in his early 70s. Butcher was booked for the January 2nd show in a trios match with Keiji Muto & Kikutaro against Masa Fuchi & Osamu Nishimura & Black Bushi. Butcher came to the ring with a cane, and said he couldn?t not wrestle and had to retire. He will continue to work the tour doing autograph signings. The current plan is to do a March 20th Abdullah the Butcher retirement show at Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Phil Donahue was on "Piers Morgan Tonight" last Thursday night and they were talking about Muhammad Ali, who Donahue said was his all-time favorite guest. He said that Ali used to go to wrestling at the Louisville Armory and watch Gorgeous George cut heel promos about being pretty and that was how he got his interview style. He said Ali found himself his own wrestling announcer straight man in Howard Cosell. He started talking about Gorgeous George, his robes, his hair, etc. If it was Louisville, it is far more likely Ali was talking about Fred Blassie. Most historical references to Ali learning from wrestlers, who do claim Gorgeous George, do so after Ali was already a pro boxer and fighting in Las Vegas going to a show with George vs. Blassie that sold out the same arena he didn't draw in. Ali also claimed it was George. Blassie, and those close to Blassie, have always insisted it was him. When Ali met Blassie in 1976, he looked at him and said he was the guy and then a year later went back to saying it was Gorgeous George who inspired him on interviews.

Michael Barry had corrective knee surgery on January 4th. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Jason Jones had surgery on his right knee on January 6th to remove bone fragments and to repair a torn meniscus and a torn anterior crucial ligament (ACL). He is expected to be out of action at least 3 months. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Sonny C had surgery last week to repair a torn pectoral muscle. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Sam Stackhouse suffered a torn ligament in his shoulder during his match at the Midwest Wrestling Alliance event in Schleswig, IA. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
