IZW Chaotic Christmas Preview on December 17 Live on GFL.tv
Posted: Dec 14th 2011 By: mikeiles
IZW closes out the year with a BANG as Chaotic Christmas comes to the Impact Arena and those watching on GFL.tv live on December 17. The card features a bevy of top matches including a main event that has set the Oklahoma circuit and surrounding territories on fire for an entire year. If you?ve never watch Impact Zone Wrestling, now is your chance to see the hottest promotion in the Mid-South region before the year is over!
In the main event, IZW Heavyweight Champion, Jermaine Johnson, defends his title against #1 Contender, ?The Real Deal? Aaron Neil. Johnson has had a stranglehold on the belt for over a year, which he won by defeating Neil. For over 12 months, Neil has been chasing Johnson and trying to corner him into a match, where the two could square off one on one. After winning the Monsters Bash Battle Royal at Halloween Hangover, Neil will finally get that opportunity at Chaotic Christmas. But it won?t be an easy task for Neil. Johnson has epitomized the meaning of a fighting champion as he has defended his title on almost a weekly basis for over 52 weeks straight. He?s battled a ?who?s who? of the IZW roster and always found a way to retain the title.
?How does Aaron Neil feel when he?s going into a matchup that he can?t win and that I can?t lose? This match is more important to me than to Aaron Neil. I don?t care that he?s been chasing this title for over a year. It?s mine! The IZW title, the World Championship, it?s all about meeeee,? Johnson quipped.
But Neil poses a different challenge. At 6?2? and well over 300 lb, Neil?s size is one variable that cannot be fully accounted for. Combine that with Neil?s athleticism and it?s almost an unbeatable combination. Neil will not wilt when the spotlight is one him as he has tons of big match experience against some of the sport?s best, including battling former World Champions, Vader and Dusty Rhodes. A 10-year vet, there?s nothing Neil hasn?t done or seen firsthand and now he believes the time is right for him to once again become IZW Heavyweight Champion.
?I always have the IZW Championship at the forefront. That is the ultimate goal for anyone within the company. I?m one win away from reaching that goal and on December 17 at Chaotic Christmas I fully intend to capitalize on the opportunity. Johnson dropped the ball as champion; I?m here to pick up the slack,? Neil said.
In the co-main event, Johnny Z fights Brent Albright in a No Holds Barred/No DQ Match. This feud has been built on violence and inflicting serious pain. Both wrestlers seemed to take things up a notch on a weekly basis leading to their final showdown of the year at Chaotic Christmas. But even in the world of professional wrestling, this rivalry has crossed a line that very few feuds have ever treaded on. It?s a match that won?t be for the faint of heart as this bout is sure to take years off of the careers of both Johnny Z and Albright.
?Everyone knows I took a couple years off and got away from the limelight. When I joined IZW I was still trying to find my place and what I wanted to do. This feud with Johnny Z has gotten my heart pumping again for the business. It?s brought out a part of me that I tried to bury a long time ago? ?The Shooter?. I?m not just talking about a nickname on the back of my trunks. I?m talking about what that title implies. I?m one of the most decorated and talented grapplers in the world. With these hands, I can go hold for hold with anybody in this sport. I?ve been in the ring with all of the greats and tore houses down around the world. But that part of me I voluntarily put on the shelf, because it overwhelmed everything else in my life. Being ?The Shooter? is an all-consuming fire,? Albright said.
?It?s something I don?t want my children to ever see, but unfortunately on December 17 at Chaotic Christmas on GFL.tv, because of Johnny Z and his actions, my kids, his kids and the whole world is going to see what can happen when ?The Shooter? is let loose. He is going to pay the price for bringing me into IZW. He is going to pay the price for challenging me to a No Holds Barred/No DQ Match. It?s going to be something him and his family will remember forever. Because when they wake up on Christmas Day and get ready to take their family, holiday picture, there is going to be Johnny Z, a broken man, with a broken spirit. He might be in a full body cast by the time I?m done with him on December 17. When the picture is snapped over at the Johnny Z house on Christmas morning it?s going to be a life-long reminder for him and his family that he should have never messed with ?The Shooter? Brent Albright. He should have never tried to step up to the big leagues and he should have never brought me into IZW,? concluded Albright.
As for ?The Natural Born Leader? Johnny Z, there is not a tougher wrestler on the planet. Johnny Z has made a career off of outsmarting his opponents and at times shown a vindictiveness that is uneasy to watch. But this match is going to come down to a good, old fashioned, back alley brawl, and Johnny Z seems up to the challenge.
?Brent Albright?s not somebody to be taken lightly. He?s a former WWE and ROH star and a former NWA World Champion. He attacked my knee, my leg, my livelihood. And what did I do? I came back, Brent. And I started looking for you. And when I finally did find you, what did I do? I kicked your ass right in the middle of the ring, just like I?m going to do December 17,? Johnny Z said.
?I believe he?s going to again go after my knee and my leg and try to end my career at Chaotic Christmas. I believe that 100%. But you know what else I believe? No matter what, I?m not going to quit fighting. Sometime during our match, I?m going to pull down my knee pad, exposing my hard, boney knee and bash it on the side of his head. I?m going to kick Brent?s teeth so far down his throat, that he?s going to be able to chew his food with his ***hole,? Johnny Z promised.
On December 17, IZW presents its most anticipated card of 2011. All the stops are going to be pulled out. There?s never been a better time to get acquainted with the wildest and most rugged, rough and tumble federation on the Independent scene. Tune in to GFL.tv and order Chaotic Christmas on iPPV and watch as IZW takes the wrestling world by storm.
