Last week's "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!" on SyFy was missing an angle which was shot on Tuesday during the tapings but apparently was left on the cutting room floor before the final edit. The angle involved WWE Diva Kaitlyn, who after her match with A. J. Lee against Beth Phoenix & Natalya, turned heel by attacking her tag team partner. The whole segment, including the match, was cut from the episode for some unknown reason with either WWE changing their minds about the heel turn or they thought of a better way to turn Kaitlyn.

WWE presented the 2011 Slammy Awards yesterday at the "WWE Monday Night RAW" live telecast in Norfolk, VA. Jim Ross won the "Tell me I didn?t just see that award". He was escorted to the podium by Eve Torres and Alicia Fox to accept the award. Mick Foley and Ted DiBiase together presented the "Holy bleep moment of the year" Slammy to The Big Show & Mark Henry for breaking the ring. David Otunga and Tony Atlas presented the "Trending star of the year" award which was won by Zack Ryder and then the award was given to Ryder by Jerry Lawler.

Vince McMahon has been turning down almost every idea brought up by his writers regarding Mick Foley, according to The Wrestling Observer. The Christmas stuff with Foley on the live SmackDown as Santa Claus was pushed heavily by Brian Gewirtz.

The DUI case of Jimmy Uso was continued until January. Uso is the son of Rikishi.

Ryan Dilbert of BleacherReport.com wrote a dtory entitled "WWE's 20 Craziest, Most Out-There Interviews and Promos Ever". Coming in at #1 was Ultimate Warrior, who is actually in the countdown twice. Others in the countdown included Ric Flair (twice), Repo Man, Dusty Rhodes (twice), Jimmy Snuka, Dude Love interviewing Mankind and Cactus Jack, and Roddy Piper (twice). Cheerleader Melissa is another name involved in the TNA television tapings being done later this month in India.

There was a news story on a very tiny Twitter sample of the most popular person in North Carolina at PublicPolicyPolling.com/main/2011/12/The-Most-Popular-Man-in-North-Carolina.html. Of the 14 nominees, the only one who more people regarded negatively than positively was Ric Flair. Superstar Billy Graham based on the poll was the most popular, beating out former University of North Carolina basketball coach Dean Smith, actor Andy Griffith, NASCAR driver Richard Petty, and Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan.

The sons of Kevin Von Erich, Ross and Marshall, are slated to tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH in January. The Von Erich boys trained earlier this year with Harley Race at his training camp in Eldon, MO.

Roddy Piper posted on Twitter "Been asked to do Celebrity Ghost Stories. I think I will do that show.They have asked for next week.They won?t believe what I?ve seen."

Rick Rude was listed on Fox Sports Radio's "Zakk & Jack Show" during their D-List Celebrity Birthday segment on his birthday, December 7th. Junkyard Dog's birthday was listed during the same segment on his birthday on December 13th.

Duane Gill (AKA Gillberg) was a gust on Aftermath Radio with Arda Ocal and Jimmy Korderas last week. Speaking about if Bill Goldberg ever tried to get in contact with him while he was doing the ?Gillberg? gimmick in WWE. Also speaking about when he did the segment with The Rock and Goldberg on an episode of RAW in 2003 on the segment "Rock Concert II", Gill had this to say: "Goldberg hates my guts. He wanted to kill me. I remember the night I did meet him, the night we did The Rock Concert were I was dancing all the ring and all. They just wanted me to just stand there and tap my foot. In the new biography of Howard Cosell that just came out, there are several chapters on Muhammad Ali's relationship with Cosell and said Ali patterned himself after George "The Animal" Steele. That would be difficult since Ali became a star before George Steele. Presumably they meant Gorgeous George, even if the correct answer may really be Fred Blassie.

Triple H was listed as one of the UnSexiest Men of 2011 by the Boston Phoenix. C. I. M. of [http://www.bleacherreport.com[/url] wrote a story entitled "Triple H and 20 Unsexy Wrestlers of All-Time".
