Mick Foley will be back on WWE television tonight as SmackDown rolls into Charlotte, NC for a live special on SyFy. This is the third live SmackDown since the show moved to SyFy and each time it aired live on Tuesday it got great ratings. Foley will be playing the role of a host on his second televised appearance since returning to the company. The show takes place at the Time Warner Cable Arena and the dark main event will be Randy Orton vs Mark Henry in a steel cage match with Booker T as the special referee.

WrestleReunion announced some changes to their schedules for both the events in Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL due to Mick Foley and B. G. James (aka Road Dogg) working with WWE again. Neither one will be absent from the events, as they are contractually obligated to appear, but their availablity is being adjusted due to their need to be present at the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania PPVs respectively. With regards to the Los Angeles event, both Foley and the New Age Outlaws will be pulling out of the Sunday morning Breakfast with Champions so Foley and James can catch morning flights out to be at the Royal Rumble. To compensate this change, Foley and the Outlaws have agreed to participate in a Q&A session for VIP ticket holders on Friday afternoon at 4pm. The replacement talent for their tables at Breakfast with Champions will be announced in soon. With regards to the Miami event, the New Age Outlaws have been moved to the Saturday VIP lineup as opposed to the originally schedule Sunday VIP lineup so that James will make the WrestleMania call time. A tag team will be filling their original spot on the Sunday VIP lineup.

In addition to Roddy Piper hosting "Piper's Pit" at last night's "RAW" in Columbia, SC, Mick Foley also appeared in a Santa suit to promote tonight's live "SmackDown!" and Mae Young was backstage but was not used.

Roddy Piper was in Toronto, Ontario, Canada over the weekend for a taping of the CBC show "Air Farce".

Jim Ross received a question via Twitter: "Any idea why the synthetic weed is a suspension but real weed is a fine?" JR responded "you?re wrong. Real weed banned too."

Booker T took over for Jerry Lawler last Monday on "RAW" as Lawler lost his voice.

Jerry Lawler's birthday was mentioned during Fox Sports Radio's "Zakk & Jack Show" during their "D-List Celebrity Birthdays" segment this morning.

Jerry Lawler will be a guest with Bob Edwards on NPR. He will discussing the "Memphis Heat: The True Story of Memphis Wrasslin'" documentary. The show airs on Thursday, December 1st on Sirius/XM Public Radio (XM 121/Sirius 205) and on NPR?s Bob Edwards Show the weekend of December 3/4th (depending on local airtimes).

Joe Schad of ESPN is reporting that University of Memphis football coach Larry Porter has been informed he will not return. Jerry Lawler lobbied for his departure.

John Morrison is expected to finish up with WWE next week, but it is not considered a lock that he will jump to TNA right away, even though Bruce Prichard is said to be a big proponent of both Morrison and his girlfriend Melina. Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Morrison is dealing with back and neck pain and may opt for a rest. Morrison is also interested in pursuing non-wrestling entertainment projects.

The Ultimate Warrior is launching his own reality TV show online titled "The Warrior Show" which is being filmed in Los Angeles going after young guys who needs motivation and training. "Sports Entertainment Living Legend THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR leads an extreme motivational mind/body/soul work-out combining intensity, passion, comedy and inspiration," reads a preview of the show. The preview shows the former WWE champion in his role as a trainer shouting and yelling at the kids as he runs them through several workouts while dropping a gazillion f-bombs on the way. Another trailer for Kayfabe Commentaries "Guest Booker with Terry Taylor" has been released and in this clip, Taylor talks about Dusty Rhodes and an early morning flight on Southwest Airlines and the outcome after that flight. You can see the video by clicking here.

KayfabeCommentaries also released a short trailer from the upcoming "You Shoot - Tony Atlas". In the clip, host Sean Oliver shows Atlas the infamous "2 Girls 1 Cup" video and Atlas voices a strong negative opinion. To see the trailer, click here.

The Iron Sheik is off the road permanently until his health gets better, according to agent Eric Simms. The Sheik, 68, underwent ankle surgery back in February which hasn?t healed too well so he?s been having trouble walking and getting around.

Vasily Alekseyev, the famous weightlifter from the 1970's, passed away recently. Alekseyev, who was about 340 pounds, with his trademark gigantic belly, was generally viewed as the strongest man in the world from 1970 to 1978, including winning gold medals in both the 1972 and 1976 Olympics. In 1972, the buildup for the Olympics centered around Alekseyev vs. Ken Patera and who was the strongest man in the world, although everyone pretty much knew that unless Alekseyev was hurt, he couldn't be beat. Patera ended up bombing out and then became one of the biggest stars in pro wrestling.

There was a physical altercation between former wrestler and ex-Hamilton Tigers football player Angelo Mosca, 74, and former British Columbia Lions quarterback Joe Kapp, 73, last Friday afternoon at a Canadian Football League alumni luncheon in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The altercation followed the airing of highlights from the 1963 Grey Cup, a game where Mosca arguably gave a late hit to Willie Fleming of the Lions. Kapp jokingly offered Mosca a rose as a peace offering, but Mosca took exception, getting mad after Kapp pushed the rose into his face, and a mini brawl ensued. Mosca jabbed his walking cane into the side of Kapp?s head, who returned the favor with right hooks, which knocked Mosca off balance to the floor. TMZ also picked up the story. Billy Corgan?s Resistance Pro Wrestling debuted this past weekend at the Excalibur nightclub in Chicago, IL. They crowned Melanie Cruise as their first women?s champion, pinning Cheerleader Melissa in a gauntlet, and their first heavyweight champion will be decided in a three-way at a later date between The Sheik, Kevin Steen, and D. H. Smith. Going in the promotion got some mainstream play on ESPN, Yahoo, and Billboard. Corgan has said he wants to be the first wrestling promotion to work with Chris Nowinski, co-founder of the Sports Legacy Institute, to make concussion safety part of their protocol. ?It?s a serious endeavor. I want this to succeed strictly on its ideas,? he told Billboard. ?If I had to artificially prime the audience because of my musical life that?s sad. This is going to succeed on its own ideas, not because I jumped the shark.? The show at the Excalibur was geared towards adults, which restricted the audience to over 21s due to the location, but the atmosphere was said to be very
good, described as an underground ECW type feel. Raven was brought in as head agent and former ECW personality Joel Gertner did some mic work. Among the well-known talent who worked were; The Briscoe Brothers (Mark Briscoe & Jay Briscoe), El Generico, Colt Cabana, Necro Butcher, Petey Williams, Teddy Hart, Shane Douglas, Tara from TNA, and former WWE announcer Mike Adamle, who was booed out of the building. Corgan was not at the show, as his band the Smashing Pumpkins are currently on tour in Europe, but he was reportedly watching live via Skype. The next event was announced back at the Excalibur on January 13th. RPW is a joint partnership between Corgan and brothers Jacques and Gabriel Baron.
