Girl Power! Star Falls At Hands of Alleigh the Great!

Girl Power! Star Falls At Hands of Alleigh the Great!

SRPW appeared at the Tulsa Convention Center this past Saturday, marking the first recorded time an independent wrestling organisation had ever performed there. Together with the Green Country Roller Girls, they were part of the "Turn Tulsa Pink" benefit for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Breast Cancer research hit home hard for one of the participants, Alleigh the Great, as her mom had been a victim of the disease. Alleigh was interviewed by the local news media and spoke to the crowd about her mother's experiences.

But that didn't stop someone from trying to ruin the event as the Clockwork Clique, in the form of Bobby Star and BYEW Champion Sam Stackhouse, was determined to make the event about them rather than the cause everyone was donating to.

Stackhouse had given the Clique a win earlier when he faced off against Khaos in a battle of the superheavyweights. It appeared that Khaos was going to pick up a win, despite the frequent interference from Star at ringside. Khaos connected with a spear, but it was only good for a 2 count. He went for a 2nd spear and was met with a Black Hole Slam for his efforts, giving Stackhouse the victory.

Star then chose to attack Alleigh as she was addressing the crowd about her mom's breast cancer. While Stackhouse distracted her, Star snuck up from behind and began to pummel the star from behind. Vicious moves put Star on the offencive, but that didn't last long as Alleigh was able to rally and ascend to the top, diving off with a headbutt that brought home a win for her.

As if the loss wasn't enough humiliation for him, the crowd then reminded Star that he "just got beat by a girl". Star angrily retreated to the dressing area with Stackhouse by his side.

This will probably turn out to be just a temporary setback for the Clockwork Clique, who are making inroads into most of the federations in Oklahoma and also some of the surrounding states. As for Alleigh, it certainly reinforces her belief that she can beat anyone, male or female. She has already put out a statement on the SRPW Facebook group stating that she is ready to challenge both SRPW United States Champion Ray Martinez or SRPW Champion Bobby Burns for their respective titles.
