Paying Respect: Koko And The Hulkster
Posted: Oct 12th 2011 By: CMBurnham
What a glorious wrestling weekend I?ve had.
First I attended the Legends of the Ring Fanfest in Monroe Township, NJ; and that was followed by Hulk Hogan and Friends in Allentown PA.
I met, spoke with, and hung out with many personalities that I have admired over the years. Even was able to have some of them ?put me over? with pics advertising my facebook group: ? RESPECT THY WRESTLING FOREFATHERS.?
Most notably, I met Koko B. Ware and the HULKSTER for the first time.
I am now going to clear up a rumor once and for all. I am NOT going into details. I hope that you were paying attention to my earlier columns here at CD.
I asked Koko who his bird Frankie was named after. His response was that people were discussing the movie, Frankie and Johnny, and thats how the name Frankie stuck.
He was not named after anyone in particular. That's enough said about that.
I also asked the Hulkster for some of his greatest RIB stories. He gladly obliged in fact, everyone of his friends told their own rib stories. I can?t stress enough that if you ever get a chance to go to a wrestling fanfest or convention, take it. A fun time is to be had by all.
