Cowardly Comeuppance! McDaniels Abused To Happiness Of SWCW Crowd

Cowardly Comeuppance! McDaniels Abused To Happiness Of SWCW Crowd

Posted: Sep 8th 2011 By: CMBurnham

Most people dislike their boss, at least to some level. There are some bosses that almost make it a sporting event to try and run their employees through pointless hoops and to demonstrate their contempt through the use of their power. And then there are those who ABUSE their power and make everyone's life around them miserable.

L. J. McDaniels is one of of those latter types of people.

Since entering SWCW at the beginning of the year, McDaniels quickly rose to the position of Acting SWCW Commissioner after the departure of Shawn McKeaigg and the continued absence of Miss Sheila. McDaniels has had no problem asserting his considerable authourity, pushing his former faction of the Hardcore Connection to the top and protecting Kareem Sadat when he was SWCW Champion.

Along the way, McDaniels suffered some setbacks. One of the biggest occurred at the Crisstopher Crow tribute show when his team of Kareem Sadat & Maniac Mike were unable to defeat SWCW Tag Team Champions Team S. T. K for the titles in a 3-on-2 Handicap match. McDaniels' own pride and self-centeredness got in the way. This cause a rift between McDaniels and Sadat, which McDaniels decided to use to his advantage at the next show.

Kareem Sadat was not cleared to compete at the show on August 27, so McDaniels put out the stipulation that if he was to set foot in the ring, it would cause a liability for SWCW and Sadat would end up fired. The complication here was that Sadat was scheduled to defend his SWCW Hardcore Title, but without being able to set foot in the ring, that would prove to be difficult. Ultimately, Sadat decided to vacate the title (literally throwing it in the middle of the ring) and this meant a match had to be held to fill that vacancy. Maniac Mike, Rick Russo and the newly formed Project Mayhem (BYEW Caution Champion Chris Chaos and Crossfire Morrison) were all scheduled for that match, but the surprise entrant was L. J. McDaniels. McDaniels went on to upset 4 regularly active wrestlers and capture his first championship title. He wouldn't enjoy that feeling for long.

When SWCW opened thier show on September 3, McDaniels didn't wait long to make his presence known. He came out at the call of the returning Outlaw, who announced that his suspension (again, at the hands of McDaniels) was being lifted. Outlaw delivers the first piece of bad news to McDaniels by informing him that the terms of his new contract indicate that McDaniels can't suspend him! Outlaw makes it clear that he desperately wants to get his hands on McDaniels, but McDaniels orders Outlaw from the ring.

At that point, Kareem Sadat arrives and after greeting Outlaw on the rampway, makes his way to the ring. But before he can get in, McDaniels reminds him that if he steps into the ring, he'll be fired. Sadat wasn't fazed by this and stepped between the ropes, prompting McDaniels to announce that it must be his birthday and then announcing that Sadat was fired. Sadat still didn't seem to care and was intent on laying his hands on McDaniels, but more intent on reclaiming the SWCW Hardcore Title. McDaniels tried to brag that he had won the title singlehandedly, but Sadat simply reminded him that he didn't face him in that match. After that, Sadat went to hit McDaniels, but McDaniels quickly scooted out of the ring, proving that he was a coward. Sadat swore to get revenge later that night in their scheduled title rematch.

The key thing to remember here is that McDaniels is not a wrestler. But he still had a title and that title would be on the line. So both men came to the ring for the main event. Sadat had referee Jay Hollywood thrown out for being a poor ref and brought in Crazy Charlie to make sure he had someone who could handle the insanity that was about to begin. And it was insane as McDaniels quickly realised that he had made a poor choice in facing Sadat. He tried to run and hide, but Sadat caught him and took him to the men's room for a swirly. McDaniels then was made to bleed from the roll of barbed wire that Sadat had brought to the ring.

At this point, the presence of Kevin James Sanchez was made known. Sanchez had been fired by the mysterios new owner at the previous show, but nothing said he couldn't buy a ticket and sit in the audience. A long hatred of Sadat festered underneath him and Sanchez couldn't resist the opportunity to interfere in the match. L. J. had received a chair shot to the testicles and a staple gun to the head, Sanchez ran into the ring from the stands. L. J. covered Sadat, but it was only good for 2. Sadat then ducked the big boot and hit the Rock Bottom for the win. Sanchez & McDaniels were irate about everything and Maniac Mike tried to catch them as they make thier way back to the dressing area. Maniac Mike pursued them and caught Kevin James Sanchez. Sanchez then became the "stunt dummy", receiving one crotch shot and being thrown out of the ring.

Things are peaceful right now. SWCW Champion John E. Stone was suspended for medical reasons. The Hardcore title is happily around the waist of Sadat for the 13th time. It's possible none of this will last as October 1st is shaping up to be the most memorable night in SWCW history. That night, all the champions will defend their titles in the most unique match in SWCW history. All 5 titles will be hung above the ring in bags and 8 men will compete in a Ladder Match to try and gain (or regain) titles. Whoever climbs the ladders and grabs the bags becomes that particular champion. McDaniels is no longer a champion. But the safe bet is that he will try to put himself into that match and grab more championship gold for himself.
