WLW - Pro Wrestling NOAH Camp - Von Erich, Steamboat and Regal

WLW - Pro Wrestling NOAH Camp - Von Erich, Steamboat and Regal

Posted: Aug 27th 2011 By: CMBurnham

World League Wrestling is pleased to announce its guests (so far) for the 2011 Annual Harley Race training camp scheduled for October 17th through October 21st. Through it?s many years of existence, World League Wrestling has provided top-notch training from wrestlers with world-renowned credibility. This list includes, but is not limited to, Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat, Dr. Tom Pritchard, John Laurinaitis, Takashi Suguira, Takeshi Morishima, Naomichi Marufuji, Atsushi Aoki, KENTA, Kenta Kobashi, Trevor Murdock, Go Shiozaki, and Ted Dibiase Sr. 2011?s camp will be no different!

First, making a very rare appearance to not only the camp but also the W.L.W. show on October 22nd, will be World Class Championship Wrestling?s Kevin Von Erich. Kevin will be attending this year?s camp all week long from Monday to Friday. His vast knowledge about professional wrestling helped make W.C.C.W a tremendously successful company. Not only did Kevin compete with the company owned by his father, Fritz Von Erich (and competed with his brothers Kerry, David, and Mike), wrestled all over the world making him globally known. This year, Kevin will be bringing with him his two sons, Ross and Marshall, to train at this camp. A statement released from the Von Erich family reads: ?I know my sons? choice in wrestling training will make not only their dad proud, but their uncles and grandfather as well?.

The next wrestler to be announced is another worldly known superstar. His matches with Ric Flair have been labeled as legendary and can never be duplicated. A world champion in the National Wrestling Alliance and an Intercontinental Champion for the World Wrestling Federation, Ricky ?The Dragon? Steamboat will be attending this year?s camp to lend his advice to upcoming hopefuls in the professional wrestling industry. Ricky?s career lasted long and he accomplished many great things, and was noted for stealing the show at W.W.F Wrestlemania III in his victory against Randy ?Macho Man? Savage when he won the Intercontinental Championship. His career was cut short due to a back injury he sustained, but returned to the ring at Wrestlemania XXV teaming with Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka against Chris Jericho. Currently, Steamboat helps with the developmental system for World Wrestling Entertainment by training their talent and preparing them for W.W.E. Raw and Smackdown. Ricky?s relationship with Harley Race spans many years, and W.L.W. and the Harley Race Academy is happy to announce having him to lend his experience and advice to upcoming professional wrestling hopefuls.

The next guest to attend this year?s camp has never attended the Harley Race training camp before. His list of accomplishments include obtaining the W.C.W Television Title, W.W.E Tag Team Championship, the W.W.E Hardcore Championship, the W.W.E European Championship, the W.W.E Intercontinental Championship, and also the W.W.E King of the Ring. His career started in England, and has allowed him to make his name across the world. World League Wrestling is pleased to announce that William Regal will be attending the 2011 Harley Race training camp. Regal is considered by many to be one of the few remaining wrestlers that can still go and outwrestle many of today?s younger talents. Not only does Regal wrestle, but he also is currently announcing for W.W.E television today. Alongside of his title reigns and being considered a top wrestler around the world, the 2008 King of the Ring is also credited with helping train some of today?s top talents including W.W.E?s Daniel Bryan, C.M. Punk and T.N.A?s Brian Kendrick and Samoa Joe.

Ricky Steamboat and William Regal will be attending the 2011 Harley Race training camp to represent World Wrestling Entertainment.

Lastly, but definitely not least, World League Wrestling?s sister promotion in Japan (Pro-Wrestling NOAH), will be represented by company president Ryu Nakata and fellow employee Ken Hirayama. NOAH continues to scout the best talent in the world to wrestle for their promotion. In year?s past, this company has chosen several of the attendants of the Harley Race camp to attend and live in their dojo, training with top NOAH stars such as Go Shiozaki, Atsushi Aoki, Shuhei Taniguchi, Takeshi Morishima, Takashi Suguira, Ricky Marvin, Naomichi Marufuji, Taiji Ishimori, KENTA, and many more. Past participants of this program include: 2008 ? Richie Steamboat, 2009 ? Jason Jones, 2010 ? Shane Haste and Mikey Nichols. This year Mr. Nakata and Mr. Hirayama will be on hand to seek out more talent and lend their knowledge of professional wrestling. We look forward to having them visit us again!

Along with dojo stays from Pro-Wrestling NOAH, past participants have received W.W.E contracts. Some of these wrestlers are Richie Steamboat, Ace Steele, Keith Walker, Ryan Tran, Ted Dibiase Jr., Michael McGuillicutty, John Cone, Trevor Murdock, and others.

The 2011 Harley Race training camp is turning out to be a great success, but is gaining popularity by the day. Spots are filling up and with the announcement of Ricky Steamboat, William Regal, Kevin Von Erich, Ryu Nakata, and Ken Hirayama, it is expected to fill up completely. Now is the time to sign up. World League Wrestling has set up an online payment system for this camp. Of course you can also pay via mail as well. Cost for the camp is $500.00. This is for the camp itself. World League officials will be setting up hotel discounts within the next week to allow our camp visitors to save money at their hotels. Other expenses such as food and travel costs are not included in this fee. Some participants of the camp MAY be selected to wrestle on the 10/22 event in Eldon itself. Selections will be announced at the end of the camp. If you think you may want to try and wrestle on the event, please have a completed physical (completed by an M.D.), blood test showing that you do not have HIV, Hep A, B, or C, and a Missouri License ($40.00 and can be paid at the event).
