Paul Linam finished 4th in a coney eating contest at Coney I-Lander in Tulsa this past Sunday. He ate 13 coneys in the allotted 5 minutes of the contest. The winner ate 20 in the same time and two contestants tied for second place with 14 coneys each. Linam finished second in the 2010 contest.

Steel Rage Pro Wrestling announced last week that they have launched an official website at SRPWrestling.com.

The Oklahoma City Arena was renamed Chesapeake Energy Arena on July 22nd. The naming rights were part of a 12 year partnership between Chesapeake Energy and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the National Basketball Association team that is the primary resident of the arena. The arena was originally called The Ford Center from the day it open on June 8, 2002 until a renewal of the naming rights could not be reached and the arena was renamed The Oklahoma City Arena on October 21, 2010. WWE has a show scheduled at Chesapeake Energy Arena on October 10th.

Jim Ross returned to "WWE Monday Night RAW" last night in Hampton, VA. He was introduced as a newly re-signed member of the WWE roster by WWE CEO Triple H. Ross came out to his usual "Boomer Sooner" entrance music and offered to shake the hand of Michael Cole, who refused. Cole was then told by Triple H that he was being moved to SmackDown and removed him from the RAW broadcast by putting him in match. Ross finished the show at the broadcast table along side Jerry Lawler.

As previously noted, there have been recent changes in the WWE creative department, which is fairly common, as the WWE machine goes through writers frequently, and the road schedule ends up weeding others from the creative team. The current power structure in the WWE creative department are as follows, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

top level ? Vince McMahon
second level ? Stephanie, Triple H, and Kevin Dunn
third level ? Ian Jones (Jones is the new show runner)
next level ? Brian Gewirtz and Michael Hayes
final level ? Dave Kapoor (Raw) and Ed Koskey (Smackdown)

On a side note, WWE still seeks out soap opera writers, and with the cancellation of many recent soaps, there is a mentality than they can hire talented soap opera writers at lower salaries.

Ric Flair has opened up a new online store as part of his official website selling autographed photos and cards, books, belts, DVD?s and more. To visit the the new online store, click here.

After joining the worlds of Twitter and YouTube following the death of Macho Man Randy Savage, the Ultimate Warrior has now opened his official Facebook page at Facebook.com/OfficialUltimateWarrior. The former WWE champion spent most of his days on Twitter and YouTube bashing Hulk Hogan when he started his online presence, leading to a fifty seven minute video bashing of Hogan. Warrior has almost 41,000 fans following him on Twitter, and he himself only follows two ? Steve Austin and CM Punk.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that The Masked Superstar had what was billed as his retirement match on July 17th in Tokyo, Japan on an indie show.

Eddie Mansfield and David Schultz have both been added to the NWA Legends Fest in Atlanta on August 4. They will be discussing the John Stossel's expos? on pro wrestling that aired on "20/20" in early 1985.

Percy?s Twitter account was sadly hacked resulting in him losing 30?000 plus fans. HTM and Paul Bearer give a word of caution to fans across the world.
