It was previously reported that Michael Hayes is no longer the head writer for SmackDown, and now it appears Brian Gewirtz is no longer the head writer for Raw. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that David Kapoor (Ranjin Singh) is now head writer of Raw in the sense he and his staff put together the scripts for the show and Kapoor is the actual writer. Ed Koskey has the same role on SmackDown. Gewirtz?s role is to give ideas for both Raw and SmackDown to Vince and Stephanie McMahon. Hayes still submits ideas for both shows, and pass along directions to the agents.

Steve Austin posted on Twitter that WWE is in the process of creating a new DVD for him which will be the last one produced on his career in the ring. "Very in depth look from start to finish," said Austin, adding that he's very much looking forward to it. "This will be the be all, end all DVD collection." Jim Ross said that this DVD will be different than previous Austin releases because Steve himself is serving a producer and will be selecting all the footage and content to be included in it. "I've done a three hour interview already for this DVD and will hopefully be able to help in other ways if called upon," Ross concluded.

Jim Ross posted on the following on Twitter regarding the new Steve Austin DVD: "WWE to produce definitive Steve Austin DVD this year. Stone Cold to be hands on. Release date likely for holidays. Should be huge."

Triple H has been put in charge of WWE Development, a post previously held by WWE Senior Executive John Laurinaitis. However, Laurinaitis is still involved, although it is said that Triple H is not a fan of his. Triple H is likely taking over the role as a scout (current scouts include Laurinaitis and Gerald Brisco). There is a feeling that changes are coming with the WWE developmental program, but at this point, not much has actually changed.

At the conclusion of WWE's "Money in the Bank" pay-per-view event this past Sunday, some wrestlers posted comments on Twitter:

-The Iron Sheik: "Cm punk and the Jon cena put on he?ll of a match. I love the #wwe"

-Steve Austin: "@CMPunk and @JohnCena had a big time pro wrestling match. I loved it. And I loved the finish. Congrats to both guys. Great stuff."

-Mick Foley: "I don?t think I?ve ever been jealous of a wrestler?s character before. Money, yes, character, no. @cmpunk has changed that. Damn. Damn!"

-The Rock: "Congratulations to new WWE Champion @CMPunk. Gonna be a helluva run for you. I hope our paths cross."

-Matt Hardy: "I also heard there was a helluva wrestling show on tonight. Very happy to hear the people were given what they want-it?s good for business."

-Bret Hart: "Very good PPV tonight w/everyone working hard. Great storytelling in the main event & throughout the show. Kudos to everybody"

During the Major League Baseball All Star Game last Tuesday, New York Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson, a well-known wrestling fan, flashed a replica of the WWE World Title and said that WrestleMania 23 was the greatest event he ever attended. He also mentioned his favorite wrestlers as The Undertaker, Junkyard Dog, The Ultimate Warrior, and Randy Savage.

Bruce Prichard on the TNA web site in announcing the Austin Aries signing, said that TNA would be signing other people coming off the Destination X PPV show. "Our goal is to reinvent and redefine the X Division as something unique to all of pro wrestling," he wrote.

Bill Goldberg tweeted that he has a new television show in the works, with more details after he completes the deal.

An African promotion claims they are running a show with Batista, Goldberg, Kurt Angle, and Jeff Hardy, and that it's being arranged by Rick "Battman" (Bassman, presumably), the owner of the "largest school of wrestling in the world" which produced the famous John "Cina". Due to a family issue, the Iron Sheik is unable to come to Boston this weekend for scheduled appearances for Dan Mirade's Millennium Wrestling Federation in Melrose, MA. He will attempt to be part of the debut of "Late Night with The Iron Sheik" via telephone. MWF apologizes to its fans and said they hope people enjoy the show that should be on-line late this week at the BostonWrestling.com website.

Charlie Haas recently posted on Twitter: "Congrats to my wife Jackie (Gayda) Haas for placing 3rd at the ?Branch Warren Classic? out of 37 contestants. She qualifies for nationals."

Michael Barry suffered a grade 2 concussion in his match on July 9th and is out of action until July 30th at the earliest. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Brock Landers suffered an injury upon being eliminated from the Gauntlet Battle Royal at the MSWA event this past Sunday. He has a high sprain on his left foot and has been ordered to bedrest for the next 2 months. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan sends its condolences to Terry Taylor on the death of his wife Trudy who past away last week after a lengthy bout with cancer.
