Former TPW Champion makes surprise return to the ring
Posted: Aug 30th 2005 By: oklastaff
Former TPW Champion Butch Dalton surprised fans at the TPW show on Aug 27 by making an unannounced return. Dalton came to the aid of best friend Brian Lakewood as well as Justin Lee and The Prophet. All were under the attack of members of New Canada and TPW newcomer Ryan Davidson.
TPW commissioner Rocco Valentino ordered an impromptu Fatal 4-Way tag team match as the main event for that night and Lakewood & Dalton came out victorious over Justin Lee & The Prophet, Jon Davis & Ryan Davidson and the Canadian Luchadore & TPW Light Heavyweight Champion The Canadian Red Devil.
Lakewood & Dalton are no strangers to tag team success. They are former TPW Tag Team Champions, defeating The Heatseekers on 11-22-03 and holding those titles until 2-27-04, when they were stripped for not having defended the belts in 30 days. Dalton also experienced tag team success with brother Beau Dalton, holding the OPW Tag Team Titles and with Red Eagle, holding the OPW & OCW Tag Team Titles.
Dalton gave no comment on whether his return was a one-time or permanent thing. If he and Lakewood were to reform their partnership on a permanent basis, they, along with New Canada and the reformed Sexy Bologna, would present a strong threat to current TPW Tag Team Champions The Forsaken.
